Darkness. The screen shows nothing but a black void as a voice speaks through the darkness.

???: "Superheroes, we know them as brightly colored, spandex wearing defenders."

The void suddenly lights up to show Superman and all his legendary glory.

???: "And they are. Throughout the Multiverse, there has been numerous individual donning the title of a hero."

Suddenly, many bright colour heroes are shown in action like Spider-Man, Deku, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Daredevil and other warriors.

???: "In this world, these defenders of justice are nothing but works of fiction."

The compilation of clips of the heroes fighting pans out to reveal we had been watching from a screen. The screen shifts to reveal that the location of the screen is a comic book store in South Africa, Johannesburg called: "Comic Warehouse", we then see multiple people inside from young boys to older women looking for something to buy for their kids.

Random nerd: "I don't care what you jerks say, Sakura is best girl of Naruto!"

Random (female) nerd: "Do you want to get jumped!?"

At the videogame aisle

Random nerd 2: "Think about it you small brained monkey! Your precious Spider-Man, took inspiration from the GOAT Arkham Batman!"

Random nerd3: "Yeah whatever dude, doesn't make it better."

The store manager passes by the arguing teens.

Manager: "Guys don't forget, fighting is pointless because either way, you're all still getting bullied in the end."

Everyone laughs at the grumbling teens as the Manager takes his exit. He reaches a young boy reading the latest Spider-Man comic.

Manager: "You gonna pay for this one, Daniel?"

The boy named Daniel puts down his comic revealing short black hair, caramel covered skin and skinny body.

Daniel: "Oh yeah sure, I mean, I already read half of it so maybe I can get half price."

He is rewarded with an unamused stare.

Daniel: "I'm kidding, sir." He gives the Manager the comic so he can purchase it, while in the process of buying it, the TV podcasts the aftermath of a gang war.

Manager: "Damn, that's not far from here, times are tough kid"

Daniel stares at the destruction of the streets, feeling his anger rising at the growing violence "Something has to be done about this." He thinks to himself before the sounds of a scanner beeping knocked him out of his thoughts.

Daniel: "Things will get better sir, have faith."

Daniel exits the store and makes his way home, passing someone holding newspapers about the crime rate being a bit higher. He also passes two people talking about the violence on the streets, it's as if the world is trying to say something to him.

Daniel reaches his home and enters to find a dark skinned woman with an afro reading a book.

Daniel: "I'm home."

Maria closes her book and looks at her son.

Maria: "How was your day honey?"

Daniel: "It was o-Waaargh!" Daniel is cut off by someone putting him in a headlock, it was a middle aged white woman with brunette hair.

Elizabeth: "Had fun at the weeb library!?"

Daniel: (choking): "Nice to see you too, Aunty"

Elizabeth: "Wow, you've grown so much! You're almost as cute as your uncle now."

Said uncle enters the house, he is a tall black male with a bald head and thick beard.

Joseph: "Eliza, put the boy down before you kill him."

Elizabeth: "What are you talking about?" She turns to her husband with an unconscious Danielle in her arms. "Gaaah! What the f*ck! Oh crud!"

She runs to the kitchen with her nephew in her arms to give him some water.

Maria: "Wait! I just mobbed the..." Maria was too late as the sounds off someone slipping and hitting the floor echoes through the house

Elizabeth: ,"Ow..."

(Time skip)

Elizabeth lays on the couch with an ice pack on her head while groaning

Maria: "So...Joseph heard you got promoted."

Joseph: "That's detective Joseph to you"

They both laugh as Daniel converses with his cousin Lerato.

Lerato: "So that's basically why I quit netball"

Daniel: "Wow, a ball really hit you in the face, twice?"

Lerato: (Rubs the red mark on her head) "Yup"

Elizabeth: "NOOO!!!" She screams while holding her phone.

Joseph runs in with his gun equipped.

Joseph: "What's wrong!?"

Elizabeth: (crying) "The gang war today made massive damage at my work facility, they're cutting a lot of funds and...I might lose my job!!!

Everyone consoles the crying woman while Daniel looks at her with pity, he felt his blood boil because of the situation, his poor aunt paying the price for other people's delinquent behavior.

Daniel: "I need to get some air"

He exits the house while the rest off the family comfort the brunette woman. Daniel takes a few breaths to calm down before looking up at the night sky, it somewhat calms him. Daniel then notices a shooting star and decides to have a little fun.

Daniel: "Oh great shooting star, this world has been plagued with crime and corruption, I ask of you to give me power unlike anything ever seen in fiction so I may combat these monsters!"

After hearing himself, Daniel laughs at his dorkiness

Daniel: "Oh man I'm such a weeb"

The young boy was about to go back inside but he noticed something, one of the shooting stars seemed to stop midair and it's getting bigger? Wrong, it's actually getting closer.

Daniel: "What the heck!? Shooting stars don't do that!"

The flaming object lands in front of him, propelling him back. While mid flight, Daniel suddenly stops before his back hits the ground as if gravity stop, he is suddenly propelled forward causing him to land right in front of a glowing object.

Once he gets up and his vision focuses, he looks down to see what seems to be a glowing metallic box. Daniel's curiosity gets the better of him as he approaches the box. The box opens up once Daniel was in close proximity to it, revealing a glowing stack of papers joined together resembling a comic book, Daniel could tell it was a comic because of the "Issue 1" text on the top left corner of the book.

Out of pure curiosity, Daniel reaches his hand out for the book and when he touches it, it shine's brightly as if the sun just exploded in his face. He wakes up to find himself laying in the grass, the enchanted comic and crash site nowhere to be seen.

Daniel: "Weird"

He picks himself up and goes back inside, oblivious to where that relic really went.
