Hi! I'm Autumn. I've been bitten by a radioactive spider, and I'm secretly SpiderSky. I'm getting education on Brooklyn highschool. I have friends and one best friend, named Eril. She's also my roommate, and she knows about my secret. At night, I fight the evil, and keep the lovely city Brooklyn safe. Last month, I met a guy named The Prowler. He almost robbed a bank, but I stopped him.
"Autumn. Autumn!!" Someone yelled, as my mind went back to earth. "Y-yes?" My bestfriend rolled her eyes at me. I stared at her, and she scoffed. "It's the third time you're zoning out today. It's The Prowler, isn't it?" I gave her a death glare. "Don't say it out loud like that!" I whisper-yelled. She chuckled. "Sorry, sorry." She said. I gathered my stuff, and putted it in my bag, as I stood up. "Have you heard about the new coffeeshop? It's called Foam Party." Eril smiled. She putted an arm around me shoulder, and her gaze was begging for me to say 'yes'. I sigh, as I giggled. "Fine. But only because your name is Eril." My bestie chuckled. "Thanks girlie." She suddenly said. We walked to our lockers, when I bumped into a boy.
His books fell on the floor immediately. "O-oh...Sorry. I didn't saw you there, sir." I said jokingly. He just stared at me with his blank expression. "Okay. Like I care." He just grabbed his books, and continued walking through the hallway. Strange guy. Maybe because half of Brooklyn is wierd and quiet. Erlin stared at me, and she walked towards me. "That's Miles Morales. Lost his dad a few years ago. He's a pretty depressed guy. Don't listen to him, okay?" She claimed, as we walked away. "Miles? Why would someone get named Miles?" I asked, and Erlin started to chuckle.
"You're such a mean bitch sometimes." She nudged me a little. She took a bite out of her lunch, as I opened my locker. I put my bag on the ground, as I put my books in my locker. Erlin just kept eating her lunch. "Wha?" She asked, as I stared at her. I rolled my eyes, and she kept eating her bread. "Damn. Miles changed you, didn't he?" She talked with her mouth full. "N-no. He's wierd. I'm not talking to wierd people. She continued to chuckle. "Sure. Sure." I closed my locker, and we walked out of the school. Some kids looking at us, and whispering. Probably gossipping again. No one has something to do in their lives.
Brooklyn would've been better if we didn't had so much crimes having on. I sighed, as I put my bag over my shoulders, Erlin staring at her phone. "So, did The Prowler flirt with you?" She asked, as she suddenly showed me an article of The Prowler. "no...He's... A criminal, and I'll get him. Don't worry." I sighed again, as I continued walking. One street right, and then left. There was the coffeeshop named Foam Party. We entered the shop. It looked so cute. We sat at a table, as a waitress approached us.
"So, what's the deal here, you two?" She asked with a smile. She had short, but wavy curls, and brown eyes. Her skin was light tanned. "Uh, one rainbow sprinkles please?" Erlin said, as she blushed. I smirked at Erlin. "You've been here before?" I asked her. She looked away. The waitress looked at me, as she blushed. "So...Erlin didn't tell you..." I shook my head, until I knew what we were talking about. "Oooh! You both are dating!" I clapped in my hands. Eril and the waitress looked at each other, when they blushed. "Y-yes. You got it right." Eril said, as she smiled.
I was glad that she trusted me. With a lot. I looked on the menu, and I saw something I would've liked to try. Caramel white chocolate cappucino. What a good choice. "I don't want to interrupt you two lovebirds!" I said, as I captured their glanced at eachother. "Yes?" The waitress girl said, as she held her phone up. Probably to type the orders in. "I'd like to have an caramel white cappucino." The girl nods her head. "But of course." She walked away with the orders, as I looked at Eril again. "Cute." I muttered. She just blushed. "I-it's nothing." She said, as she was fidgeting at her sleeves of her hoodie. "I'm glad you trust me, bestie." I said, as I smiled softly back at her. "I-it was just a matter of time, y'know." I started to stare outside, at the busy street, full of cars and scooters.
"Not even my parents know i'm actually dating." She suddenly said. "Really?" I asked. I was a bit confused by her confession. "My parents don't want me to be lesbian." She claimed. My eyes widened. "What?! That's bullshit. I scoffed. She just blushed. "Y-yeah..." She went complete shy mode. "Something wrong?" I asked again, and the waitress came at us, with the orders.
"One Rainbow sprinkles, and one caramel white chocolate cappucino." She put the large cups on the table. "Erlin...Everything okay?" She asked her girlfriend. She then putted her plate on the table, and hugged Erlin. It was such a cute sight. "Aww..." I muttered under my breath. I then heard someone else entering the shop. But why that person specific? I looked over to the sound, as I saw a guy entering. Braids. Hazel eyes. Always the same blank expression on his face.
Miles Morales...
I swallowed, as I stared at him. He goes in the line to order. His eyes suddenly meet mine. I felt my cheeks redden up. 'H-how...w-why...' I thought. I swallowed again, as his eyes kept staring into mine. As if he tried to look for my soul....
"What's wrong, Autumn?" My best friend asked. "N-nothing." I muttered, as I looked back at her again. It looked like she cried. Probably because she couldn't get accepted by her parents. "No, there's something. Someone in the room you like, because your cheeks are flushed." She chuckled. I loved it when she made that sound. "A-ah...No..." The waitress walked away. I tried to get my eyes off Miles.
Why was I feeling this way?
I stared at my hands, as a feeling of guiltiness washed over me. I had no idea where the guilt was coming from, and my fingers got sweaty. My forehead started to sweat, and I didn't knew what to do anymore. I kept staring at my fingers.
"Autumn...What's wrong? Are you even feeling well?" Erlin asked, as she layed her hand on my forehead, checking if I was feeling well. But I nodded instead, and smiled a fake smile. But Erlin knew that I was putting a show up.
"Autumn...Tell me the truth." She said, as she pinched my cheek. "I-I'm honest..." I claimed. But she just sighed, and looked at the coffee cups. "You didn't even took a sip from your coffee." She looked at me again. I swallowed again. I grabbed the cup, as I brought it to my mouth.
I could feel the warm caramel and white chocolate spreading in my mouth. The flavors were intense, and I liked it. I took a big sip out of the cup, as I put it back on the table. "Tasty..." I mumbled. Eril smiled. "Yeah, right? It's like heaven!"
I had no idea why she was suddenly so happy again. I took another sip, and soon drunk the whole cup. In the corner of my eye, I saw Miles still in the line, and he just...Looked so hot. I gulped, and put the cup on the table. I took a good look, and saw a girl running up to him, as she kissed his cheek. He rolled his eyes in disgust. "I told you, we're not-" But the girl just gave him a papercup, that probably was filled with coffee. I stared at them, and the girl left the scene.
Did he had a girlfriend? No...It has to be. I mean, every girl would want a boy so hot like him. I sighed. maybe no chance. He left the shop, and gave me one last glare. I tried my best to hold my blush back. I don't want to make any of it suspicious.
"I'm gonna go home, Erlin." I said, as I stood up. Erlin continued smiling, and said: "I'll pay this time. Don't worry a thing." I thanked her, and walked out of the shop, to my house. I put my earpods in, as I start to listen to my favorite music. I was almost at my apartment, but then bumped into a guy. Again. What was wrong with me?
I looked a little up, and then...
It was him...Miles...
I swallowed again. And he scoffed. "Watch it, plain Jane." He said, as he pushed me away. I was flabbergasted. 'did he just call me plain Jane? Doucebag.' I thought. He just walked away. With the same blank expression. No...Maybe a little more annoyed expression. Gah. I don't know.
