Your palm relied on the door, still feeling him on the other side. As a way to reach him, to touch him. But how now? If he was a threat when you least expected, how is it right now?
"C-cal..." The whisper left your lips, whether he heard it or not was unimportant. Your body was still shaking slightly. Although your tears now were not only of fright - that was actually a little part of it. Your tears were streaming down your face, washing where his were the night before with pure sadness, pure uncertain, pure love. You couldn't deny it; you loved him. You always have."I can't. I-I can't!" More and more tears spilled from your eyes, your face turning away. You wrapped yourself tighter in your sweater, the long sleeves being held tightly in your fist. As you were about to run to your bedroom, away from him, he got up and quickly hit the door, making a loud noise to call your attention. "No!" He pleaded as he did so. "No!" He yelled again. "Please! Please...Please..." He looked down, sobbing again, filled with regret from head to toe, from mind to soul. "Before I leave you forever, I still have one more thing to beg you. You have no reason to but I must - I already regret last night, I don't wish to regret this too." He said, waiting a bit and swallowing dry, thinking a bit of his words; translating his heart. "Tell me. Please. Do you love me?" He went silent. "I-if you don't-" his voice failed, him swallowing again to hold himself for a little more. For enough needed. "Then please, let me go believing you did. You don't even have to mean it, Y/N. Just tell me one last time, for that's all I need. Please, Y/N. I beg you. Those three words and I'm gone." He begged. It took you awhile, you were unsure whether you'd say it or not, but eventually you gave in. You couldn't bear with yourself if you did the opposite. "I love you, Calum." You replied in a gasp. "And that is the problem; I love you. I love you."
