𝐃: Hey, I'm Danielle, from the Mellonia Community, and I'll be the one taking your winner's interview.

𝐕: Hi Danielle, my name is Vanya. I'm a bulgarian artist/writer. I'm so excited for this interview 😊. You can ask me anything.

𝐃: Glad to see your enthusiasm!! First off, congrats on winning the Glorious Stars: Best Cover category! How do you feel about it? Did you expect to win?

𝐕: I didn't expect to win really. I just participated for the fun of it. I'm actually quite surprised that I won first place.

𝐃: Haha that's normal. I feel like that sometimes too when I get a high placing in other usee-run awards. So what exactly inspired the cover? I've seen the cover and I'm quite impressed by it 😃

𝐕: I can't say I've put a lot of thought into it. It's just the face of one of the main charred- Lynn. I wanted to give him a mean look to make him sort of look like a villain, since until the end of the first act it's uncertain what his real motives are.

𝐃: Damn that actually holds more meanings than most covers I've seen! You've no idea how many people throw random stuff on their covers that holds no real meaning other than it looked fancy, not that it's wrong but I'm glad to see that yours have more meaning. Are you into designing? How did you start out?

𝐕: I actually study graphic design and I've done a lot of covers as a school projects.

𝐃: Ooo is it fun? What are some pointers that you can share related to graphic designing?

𝐕: It's kind fun, most of the subjects are kinda boring. The best advice I can give to graphic designers and artists in general is to look at their favorite works, analyze them, figure out what makes the design "work" and try to incorporate that model into their chosen media.
Or in other words if you like the "vibe" of a certain piece, try to understand what are the main components that give out that vibe.

𝐃: Thanks for the great advice!! Do you have any particular apps you would recommend? Or good Wattpad cover shops?

𝐕: I mainly use procreate and photoshop, but art studio pro and clip studio paint are also great options.

𝐃: I've never heard of them. Maybe I'll check them out...Before we end off, do you regret joining the Brunous Collab Awards? What are some areas of improvement that we can make?

𝐕: I don't regret it at all. As of areas of improvement I can't really think of anything.

𝐃: Aww thank you so much for the insightful advice and taking the time to answer my questions!! I really enjoyed this 😊
