It's been three days since the storm. We have repaired the wall, built cabins, and Monty and Raven figured out a way to turn the janky radio into a full on video call with the ark. The grounder is still upstairs in the dropship tied up. I sit by the wall taking a break from gathering food. I see Octavia approach me and take a seat next to me. "Hey stranger." I say in a soft tone. "You ready to talk?"
Octavia sighs. "I'm sorry I haven't come and talked to you sooner. I just needed time to clear my head."
I put my hand on her shoulder. "It's ok Octavia."
She shakes off my hand. "I just don't understand how you can just stand there and watch while my brother and his men beat up the innocent grounder." I retract my hand and fold them in my lap. "But I know that you weren't really feeling up to standards I suppose."
I hug my knees to my chest. "I'm still not really sure what happened that night, but I'm sorry. I could have done more- I should have done more. I know he didn't deserve to be beat like that."
"No one deserves that. Not even Murphy." She sighs. "It's in the past now. We should just focus on not letting them hurt him anymore." Octavia stands up and reaches out her hand to me. I take it and follow her to the drop ship where she waits at the ladder. I get comfortable in the corner of the room and wait with her.
Bellamy comes down the ladder and sees Octavia sitting at the bottom. "You're still here?"
Octavia keeps her gaze straight ahead. "I'm not moving until you let me up there to see him."
Bellamy pauses before answering. "Get comfortable." He shifts from one foot to the other as he looks at Octavia. "I let him live. Isn't that enough?"
Octavia snaps her head to look at Bellamy. "He saved my life and yours."
"I know you see it that way, but-"
"That's the way it is." Octavia cuts Bellamy off.
Bellamy gets a stern look in his eyes. "He's still dangerous."
"Only because of what you did."
"Whatever twisted connection you think you have with that animal, forget it. You don't get to see him. End of conversation." Bellamy turns to leave when Octavia speaks up again.
"Why do you even care if I ruined your life? You should want me to go up there. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll kill me, problem solved."
"Octavia, you know I didn't mean that." Bellamy whispers.
Clarke walks into the drop ship as Bellamy turns to leave. "Bellamy."
"The answer is still no. I'm not talking to Jaha." Bellamy walks past Clarke for the door.
"Hey, relax." Clarkes words stop Bellamy in his tracks and he turns to face her. "That's not why I'm here."
"What, then?" Bellamy asks.
"The Ark found some old records that show a supply depot not too far from here."
"What kind of supplies?"
"The kind that might give us a chance to live through winter. I'm gonna go check it out. I could use backup."
"Why are you asking me?" Bellamy raises his brow.
"Well, because right now, I don't feel like being around anyone I actually like." Clarke smirks.
Bellamy huffs then looks at Octavia. "I'll get my stuff, meet you in ten."
"You should stay here Clarke." I say from my corner of the room. They both look at me and Clarke raises her eyebrow. "You still need to be here to take care of Finn and make sure they don't kill the grounder." Clarke huffs as I walk over to the two. "Don't worry. I'll make sure that he stays in line." I nod over at Bellamy.
