Slowly she opened the door and to her surprise it was not Reece stood there. It was Autumn.

"Marjorie he is going to kill him. Now I am perfectly fine with that in fact I would gladly join him but there's no way i'm letting him go to prison for this. Our father has ruined our lives enough, I won't let him take Reece's freedom too. I already tried to talk to him but he won't listen to me. You need to go to him" Marjorie's smile dropped and she realised the severity of Reece's anger. She knew he was mad but she hadn't realised how far he was actually willing to go. It was sweet really, she was just not accepting the risk that she may lose the love of her life forever if he did this. All she wanted was to see Roger's face bashed in. For Mia. For Autumn. For Reece. For Siobhan.

"Fuck. Um can you look after Siobhan for me i'll be as quick as i can. Shit I need to go. "Where are my keys?" she frantically searched all around her before quickly finding her keys and snatching three off the side.

"Yes yes just go I'll be fine" she guided the other woman out of the door as the door slammed shut. She had no idea how she was going to spent the next few hours alone with Siobhan.

Marjorie sped into her car, her mind whirring with thought of Reece being locked up. She ran multiple red lights on the way to Roger's house, a few points on her license and a fine didn't bother her at this moment.

When she pulled up to the house she didn't bother knocking she simply ran in. She stopped in her tracks as she observed the scene before her. Roger was laid on the floor with Reece towering over him, gripping onto the collar of his shirt. The older man's face was bloody and bruised and he was barely moving. She froze. She didn't know what to do but she had to snap out of it.

"REECE! STOP." she screamed at the top of her lungs and running towards him.

He seemed to snap out of a sort or trance at the sound of his girlfriends voice. Slowly he turned his head towards her, letting go of his father. He could see the fear on her face and it shattered his heart. How could he let her see him like this? He didn't know how to react after her reaction to seeing him.

Avoiding looking in Marjories eyes, he stood up turning to face in her direction. Her eyes immediately darted towards his hands. They were covered in blood as they shook violently. His breath was fast and uncontrolled as the panic finally began to set in. He was screwed.

"Marjorie I'm so sorry I- I don't know what came over me I was just so angry. I'm sorry... please" he choked out, his voice slowly getting lower and lower as he spoke. Tears were beginning to form in his eyes as he looked at that damage he had caused. Maybe he was his fathers son after all. It was in his blood. It was part of him. As much as he tried to escape it, it was inevitable. It hurt more that he was proud of what he had done, he knew the bastard deserved it but he felt a slight regret for what he had done. He didn't want to be that kind of guy, who scared his girlfriend with this anger. He had fucked up.

"No- no my love it's okay I was just a bit shocked is all. We need to get you out of here though okay?" she stuttered, holding his hands in hers before embracing him in a hug. He trembled in her arms. His mind was screaming at him to toughen up and act like a man, to stop trembling and sort himself out. He couldn't. After everything that Roger had drilled into him, in this moment he simply folded in her arms.

They swiftly exited the house, leaving Roger spluttering on the floor of his home. For the entire car ride back, they sat in silence as Marjorie held his hand.

~ autumn and siobhan ~

Once Marjorie had left to go and help her brother, she ever so slowly walked into the kitchen. The last time she had spoken to Siobhan was when she had initially fainted and spoken up about what her father had done. She knew all too well what she had been through. During her childhood Roger was never gentle or caring, he seemed to despise her simply for existing. As she got older he would tell her that she reminded him too much of her mother and that she was a disgrace to the family name. Although, even before her mother abandoned them, her father never cared for her or her brother. It was if they inconvenienced him in some way and their presences angered him. She never understood even to this day why he had decided to have children if he hated them so dearly.

Everyday that she would return from school he would be drunk. She had many scars littering her body from his fits on rage in which he would through glass bottles at her. Sometimes she hadn't even done anything to anger him, she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Reece tried with his entire being to protect his sister but it was never enough. His father would always find a way to hurt her when he wasn't around.

There was many times after one of their fathers meltdowns where they would sit crouched into the corner of their locked bedroom and cry into each others arms. All they had was each other and he had someone managed to rip that away from them for so many years too.

She was shaken from her memories by the sound of Siobhan speaking.

"Autumn? Are you okay?" it felt weird to hear such genuine concern come from the blonde but she appreciated the gesture.

"I am fine. How are you after everything? I know all too well how my father can be. I'm sorry you got roped into his mind games. Nobody deserves that." she felt so much sympathy for the other woman and as much as she hated her she was not going to let her go through this alone. She could see that she was trapped in her mind, every so often drifting away mid conversation seeming to be in another world, flinching whenever anybody came close to her.

"Oh! I will survive. There are people out there with much worse situations than me. I will get over it it's not a big deal." Roger's words had really sunk deep into her mind, she could never escape.

"That's enough. I am not going to sit here and listen to that. Get his ridiculous ideologies out of your mind now." her voice was stern and laced with anger but the blonde could tell that the anger was not pointed towards her but at the older man.

There was silence from both parties for a moment before Siobhan reached into the cupboard grabbing another bottle of wine.

"You up for a drink?" she questioned waving the bottle around. Autumn smirked, maybe they had more similarities than she thought.

"I'm glad you asked" they both sat drinking, talking about their experiences with Roger and for the first time they both felt truly understood. Never would they have expected for them to be bonding in this way but they were both glad of it.

Just as they had finished their second bottle of wine, Marjorie and Reece came rushing in. They both jolted up, their eyes immediately darting towards the couple.

Autumn surveyed her brothers state. His hands were clearly broken and covered in blood. His jumper was also soaked with blood, and she knew exactly whose it was. A smile began to creep on her face as she imagine her father being battered, holding on to an inch of his life, but it soon faded as she noticed her brothers demeanour. He was clearly in distress over what he had done and he did not hide it.

"I'm just gonna sort this out okay? I won't be long I promise. Are you two alright?" she looked between the two and the two empty bottles on the side, slightly concerned.

"We are fine. Go we can wait" she was very concerned for her brothers mental state. Reece had beaten men bloody for the way they had spoken to Autumn and Mia in the past but this was different. This was personal. At the end of the day he was still his father.

Marjorie guided him upstairs and began to clean his hands in the sink, revealing many open wounds. She gently rubbed her thumb over his knuckles and leant her head on his shoulder as she did so. He smiled. He had no idea how he had managed to find the most amazing woman on the planet. Most people would have ran the other way when they found him in the state that she had. But she stayed. She drove him home and helped him clean his wounds. He was never going to let her go. He would die for her. He would kill for her.
