"HAVE MERCY! COME TO ME! WAKE MY SOUL! SET ME FREE!" I screamed into the mic, in front of me the crowd was going ecstatic, they were like waves in the ocean, constantly moving and never standing still, adrenaline rushed through my blood as I finished the song and Dahvie jumped on stage with me.
"Tucson Arizona! He shouted. "How y'all doing tonight?" The crowd roared in response. "Let me tell ya, this whole tour has been fucking amazing! Now, we have the privilege of ending it tonight with you! Tonight is going to be epic, a night you will never forget, now I have a surprise for you later, trust me, you're going to fucking love it! Now let's get on with the show!" Dahvie gave the cue and The Comeback started playing.
"HOW DARE YOU! LEAVE ME BEHIND! HOW DARE YOU! LEAVE ME TO DIE! HOW DARE YOU! CROSS THAT LINE! I DARE YOU! TO DO IT THIS TIME!" I screamed once again into the mic, Dahvie moved to stage right and sang.
"Come back, come back to me. Save me from my misery. Light the fire that burns in me. Come back, come back to me." He raised the mic above his head and the confetti cannon went of sending little green, yellow, and pink squares flying into the crowd. Hands went up to catch them as souvenirs, I smiled at the crowd and banged my head before I sang the second verse.
"YOU STOOD BEFORE ME, AND TOLD A LIE. YOU STOOD OVER ME, TO WATCH ME CRY. NOW YOU STAND UNDERNEATH, THE DEMONS AT YOUR SIDE. NOW YOU FALL BEFORE ME, AND I WATCH YOU DIE!" Hundreds of hands were in the air, waving back and forth or being repeatedly pumped into the air. I adored the feeling of being on stage, knowing that these people were here for us, they loved what we did and it didn't matter if they were being made fun of at school. The second they stepped past the doors, all their worries and problems dissolved. I continued to dance on stage, swinging my hips and banging my head, Minnie Mouse ran on stage with Mickey close behind her, they danced on both sides of the stage, then Mickey jumped into the crowd, hands caught him and passed him around the room, they returned him safely to the front of the room where a guard helped him over the barrier. The night was off to a great start, our light show sent blue, green, and red lights bouncing all over the room, they reflected off various surfaces in the room. Tonight, just like Dahvie said, would be epic.
We were well into the show now, we had been playing for about half an hour and things were going great. This was my home, up on the stage surrounded by amazing people who loved what we did. Yet at the same time, I wanted this night to end, to be rid of the stress of having to look perfect, and sounding perfect. Not that I didn't love our fans, but sometimes it was too much, we weren't superhuman, we needed breaks just like anyone else, but for now, I would sing until it was time for the big finale. Grinning at the crowd I began one of my favorite songs.
"You're attractive, you little witch, you're beautiful. Your wickedness, you little witch, it broke my heart. Enchanting words, you little witch, you cast a spell. Mass destroyer, you little witch, you're beautiful." In front of me, the crowd sang along, I loved it when I saw them singing along, the hard work and tireless effort we put into writing, coming out of their mouths. I tried to see if I could pick them out in the crowd, either they were in the back and were waiting for their time, or they weren't here yet. My stomach knotted at the thought of them not making it on time, I pushed the feeling of dread away an continued with the show. Haley Rose, one of my best friends, came on stage now and sang with me.
"I tricked you to fall in love, little boy. I played with you, till I was done, like a toy. Your heart in love, as I destroy the end of you. So easily fooled, little boy, to think it's true..." At that exact moment I saw a flash of white in the very back, I squinted my eyes in that direction as I sang, after a moment I was able to make out a glowing circle moving through the crowd, my heart sped up as I watched them come closer. They had some trouble getting to the front, the fans didn't want to give up their spot, I wished I could help them, but then I'd give away the surprise, so I glared silently at the people that wouldn't let them by, it took them a while, but after a couple of elbowed ribs and a flash of their VIP pass, they let them pass without much commotion. They stayed a little ways back so Jayy wouldn't spot them, but they gave me a quick wave and blended into the crowd. Now everything was set, near the end of the show I would bring Maria and Dora on stage and they would join us in finishing the tour, I could only hope that Dora knew how to sing. Meanwhile, Jayy and I continued on.
