"Isabel Conklin & Jeremiah Fisher invite you to join their celebration of love"

A freakin wedding invitation.

I hadn't been back in cousins for a while after my fallout with my sister Belly, she started dating Jeremiah... Who I previously dated and was totally infatuated with.
Once Belly made the decision to chose Jeremiah over Conrad, it did not only affect my relationship with her but Steven's relationship with the 2 boys.
Jeremiah and I were clearly no longer in contact, not even as friends anymore. I missed him, not only was he my ex boyfriend but he was also my best friend. Conrad was still here for me and vice versa, he was the only one who knew what I was going through.
I felt like she stabbed me in the back by getting with the boy I've ever loved, but she loved him too.
I love belly, she's my blood so I forced myself to put up with the pain.

"Brave of them to send us invites." Conrad scoffed at the thought. I felt my chest tighten, thinking about Jeremiah.
Conrad was currently visiting me at my campus, we were talking about going down to cousins together.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow morning, we'll get some breakfast before the big drive." Conrad insisted smiling, I agreed and hugged him.
My head buried into chest, I could hear his heartbeat and surprisingly it helped me calmed down more. Slowly but surely my head pulled back and I looked up at him, quickly I stepped back.
"I'll see you tomorrow Connie, I have to pack and return my books ." I spoke, Conrad smiled and waved before leaving.

Later on that night I finished packing my bag for the summer, I didn't know what to expect... I hadn't seen Belly in months, hadn't talked to her either. I was hoping we could mend our relationship.

-
The drive to Cousins went by quickly, Conrad was distracting me as much as he could.
"Me, you and alcohol during the wedding." Conrad spoke, I laughed at his comment and didn't take my eyes off of him.
"I agree. Let's be each-other's distraction for their wedding." I replied confidently, Conrad smirked before I watched his smile fade.
"I can't believe she's marrying him." Conrad commented, I reached for his hand and gripped it tightly.
"You miss her."
"I just want her and Jeremiah to be happy." Conrad replied.
That sentence felt like a knife had pierced my heart, I always wanted Jeremiah to be happy with me, not my younger sister belly.
Conrad put that car in park as we pulled up to the house, we both sat there just staring up at the house.
"I miss Susannah."
"I miss my mom too, she would have planned so much for their wedding." Conrad mumbled, I bit my lip and reached for his hand again.
"I'm here for you this summer,Whatever you need." I assured Connie, he gulped loudly and gripped my hand back.
Our fingers intertwined and I felt my heart race, his eyes met with mine and we couldn't help but stare at one another.

"You guys made it!" Jeremiah yelled quite loudly while he exited the house, our hands pulled away and I turned my head to look over at Jere.

Jeremiah's point of view

"Steven will be here soon." Belly spoke while pacing around the kitchen, my eyes darted back to face her, I could tell she was nervous to see Conrad and y/n. I was nervous to see y/n.
Belly walked over to me and wrapped her arms around me, "I hope this summer & our wedding goes well." she mentioned, I agreed and leaned my chin onto her head while pulling her closer towards me.
I heard a car engine.

"My mom's calling me, let me just answer this". Belly said mentioning laurel. I walked over to the foyer and peaked through the door window, I saw Conrad's car parked outside of the house...
Next to him was y/n, they came here together. My jaw clenched and my body tensed up, jealousy arising.
They held a stare at one another, it looked like they were about to lean in or kiss.
I opened the front door.

"You guys made it!" I yelled hoping they'd stop staring at one another. It worked.

Dinner was awkward , Steven had made it and so did Laurel and John. I couldn't help but notice Conrad and Y/n with each other 24/7. Belly couldn't keep her eyes of my brother, and I wasn't even angry... Because I couldn't stop staring at y/n, she had a different glow about her.
Why was she catering to Conrad so much?

I was doing the dishes when y/n walked on over, she was in her bikini.

"Night swim?" I asked, y/n smiled and leaned against the island counter.
"Of course."
No one else was around us.
"Y/n, I was just wondering... Are you getting with Conrad?" I asked, y/n frowned her eyebrows.
"No I'm not Jere, but if I was would it be a problem?" Y/n asked back. I didn't know how to answer.
"I can tell you I wouldn't be happy." I replied angrily, y/n chuckled before rolling her eyes.
"It shouldn't matter to you. You're marrying my sister Jere. Connie and I can do whatever we want." Y/n spat back, I was about to talk when Conrad walked into the kitchen. He was shirtless and in his board shorts.

"Ready for our night-swim?" Conrad asked, y/n smiled at my brother and Connie reached for her hand. I watched as they both walked out the back.
I didn't know what to do. I wanted her back.
