(y/n)'s pov

"YOU HELPED THEM?" Hinata yelled in front of me, "Did you see what they did to Kageyama???" I folded my bottom lip in, standing in front of him. After having received Kenma's message I headed to the location listed, which happens to be Nekoma's base of operations.

I glanced over towards Daichi, Kuroo, and Akaashi who stood across the room. "My bad was I supposed to finish them?" The orange haired male looked horrified by the thought and quickly shook his head. "I handed off one of the samples to the Lieutenant General. He seemed receptive to the serum creating mutants."

"Well in the end the syringe made it to the authorities," Kuroo said with Akaashi nodding in agreement.

Daichi added on, "And (y/n) made it in time to save both Kageyama and Atsumu. We'll just have to wait and see what they do about the serum."

I nodded then asking, "How is Sakusa doing?" As I asked the question I recalled the moments after he had been injected with the serum.

"He's still out," Kuroo replied.

"Maybe (f/n) can use her ability again," Akaashi suggested, looking over towards me.

I looked between Kuroo and Akaashi then saying, "I could try." I followed Kuroo and Akaashi to a room where they had Sakusa. I stood over the curly-haired male, manifesting my phoenix wings behind me. I held my hand over the area where the syringe had injected him. 'I contained it pretty well.' After undoing the bandage over his neck area, I siphoned the dark colored liquid out into a nearby empty dish. Once I had removed the serum from his system, I healed the area, his skin returned to the pale color it was before. "I think that should be it," I said, unsure of whether or not it would actually help.

"We'll just have to wait and see now," after brushing a few stray strands out of his face, the three of us left the room.

"Hey are Atsumu and Kageyama here," I asked, "Since I'm here I could help them out." Kuroo had Akaashi take me to where the two were, Ushijima and Bokuto just returned so he had to meet with them. We stopped at Atsumu's room first, there was another male sitting in the room who looked similar to him, but with gray hair parted in the opposite direction from Atsumu's.

"I'm glad to see you're still alive," Atsumu teased, sitting up as I entered. "They were freaked out since you weren't responding last night."

I rubbed the back of my neck, "Yeah... Well it's good to see that you're still in one piece."

Atsumu nodded, "Oh yeah, (y/n) this my twin brother Osamu. He's also with Inarizaki."

"Nice to meet you, Osamu," I said, slightly bowing.

"Likewise."

"Thanks for saving my dumbass brother." I had made eye contact with him briefly and didn't even see him open his mouth to say that. I just lightly smiled in response, figuring that was just an ability of his.

"Anyways, I stopped by to fix you up while I'm here," I said, approaching his bed side. After remanifesting my wings, I unbandaged the gunshot wound. I held my hand over it for a few moments and it closed up like nothing ever happened.

"Thanks," Atsumu said, to which I nodded. "So will I be seeing you later for a follow up," he joked, earning a glare from Osamu.

"I sure hope not," my wings disappeared and I said goodbye to the two of them.

Akaashi and I continued over to Kageyama's room, before entering Akaashi mentioned that Kageyama had been disturbed from the interaction he had with Iwaizumi and Oikawa. When I entered, Kageyama was laying down with his back facing the door, his wings drooped over the side of the bed.

"Hey Kageyama... I came to heal your injury," I manifested my wings behind me, and went through the same process I did with Atsumu's wound. I rested his wings on my lap as I healed part of them. Having taken notice of some of his feathers being in disarray, I begun preening his feathers, working my hands through them.

After fully putting away my wings Kageyama asked, "How do you control whether or not your wings are out?"

He was still facing away from me, "It took a lot of practice, but you just need to picture them fading away." Continuing to work through his feathers, I asked, "Were you close with the Lieutenant General and the General before? You don't need to answer if you're not comfortable."

We sat in silence for a bit, as I started on his other wing. "We used to hangout when I was younger," He said, "Actually I attended the academy with a bunch of the current Purification Officers."

"So by that point your wings hadn't come in?"

"No they did, but they were small enough where I could bandage them down," Kageyama answered, "At some point a few of them had found out, but didn't say anything. It was only when Oikawa found out that it became a problem... He and I were always fighting for top of the class, and when I happened to be ahead was when he found out by accident, so he threatened to turn me in if I didn't quit."

"I'm sorry for what you went through," I said, finishing up, running my hand over his wing, "You didn't deserve that." I gently let his wings back down, "I should get going, Akaashi is waiting for me. If you ever need someone to talk to though I'm here for you."

"Thanks," the male said as I made my way towards the door, quietly opening it and then closing it.

Iwaizumi's pov

I splashed water on my face. 'How could she be so quick not to believe it? Somethings off for her to immediately blame the hybrids.' I gripped either side of the sink, the water still running, as I thought about what it could be. 'I probably shouldn't mention it again to her though so I won't put anyone on my team at risk.'

I started thinking about (f/n), since she's the one that gave it to me she'd know where the factory is. The only problem is that I would have no way of getting in contact with her. Unfortunately since she's a hybrid there is also probably no documentation of her anywhere either.

"Lieutenant General," Kindaichi called from the entrance to the restroom, "We are to meet in Meeting Room 1 for our assignment in 15 minutes."

"Thank you for the reminder... I'll be there shortly," I replied, he left right after. After standing in the empty restroom for a few more minutes, I turned off the water and made my way to the room.

As I entered, I saluted Oikawa, and then returned the salutes of the other members of the Aoba Johsai team. Then I took a seat next to Oikawa towards the front of the room, "Did you get any information on what we're doing," he asked.

"No. Did you?" He shook his head in response.

The Lady's messenger entered the room to present us with our next major assignment. Our new task would locate and enter the hybrid black market by a certain date, at which point we would be stopping a certain transaction from occurring. For the time leading up to that date, which we have yet to receive, we will need to gather information on the main groups of hybrids within the area and anything else of use.

"All except for Oikawa and Iwaizumi may be dismissed," the messenger said. Once the room had emptied out the messenger spoke, "You two are not to disclose anything related to the serum to your team or anyone outside of this room. Should either of you dig deeper into the matter or mention of the serum there will be severe punishment awaiting." Oikawa and I both looked at each other, as the messenger finished, "That is all."

Before either of us got up Oikawa spoke, "Don't get any of us killed. I know you're curious but we've been specifically instructed not to do anything. Let's just do the mission as asked."

"Isn't it unfair that the hybrids are being blamed for something that they aren't responsible for," I mentioned.

"It's unfair but I don't think it's worth the life of anyone on this team, including yours. You didn't join the academy to bring change. You joined because you wanted to maintain order," Oikawa said, "If that's no longer your goal or belief, then maybe you should look into other career choices." After that Oikawa got up and left the room.

'I should find (f/n).'
