Vivienne woke up to the familiar sound of rain pattering against her window. The gray morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over her new room. She stretched under the warm covers, feeling a sense of both comfort and anticipation for the day ahead.

The rain had always been a constant in her life, a familiar backdrop to her thoughts and dreams. As she lay there, listening to the steady rhythm, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. Despite the new surroundings and the changes she was still adjusting to, the rain made everything feel a little more like home.

Reluctantly, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and got up, preparing herself for her first day of college in La Push. The house was quiet, with just the soft hum of the rain to keep her company as she got ready. Today marked the beginning of a new chapter, and though the path ahead was uncertain, Vivienne felt ready to face it with an open heart.

Vivienne changed into a pair of jeans and a green V-neck top, the color complementing her eyes. Just as she finished adjusting her top, there was a light knock at the door.

"Come in," she called, smoothing down her clothes.

Embry peeked his head in, a playful grin on his face. "Morning, short stack. Ready for your first day?"

Vivienne rolled her eyes at the nickname but couldn't help smiling back. "As ready as I'll ever be. Thanks, Embry."

He nodded, stepping fully into the room. "Breakfast is almost ready. Tiffany made pancakes. Thought you might want some fuel before facing the day."

Vivienne's stomach growled at the mention of pancakes, and she realized just how hungry she was. "Sounds perfect. I'll be down in a minute."

Embry gave her a thumbs-up and started to leave but paused at the door. "You'll do great today, Viv. Just be yourself."

Touched by his encouragement, Vivienne smiled. "Thanks, Embry. That means a lot."

As he left, she took a deep breath, feeling a bit more confident. She grabbed her bag, gave her room one last glance, and headed downstairs, ready to start this new chapter with her new family by her side.

After a delicious breakfast of pancakes, Vivienne grabbed her bag and headed out the door with her father. The rain continued to fall steadily, creating a soft, soothing backdrop for the morning. Simon had already warmed up the car, and the two of them settled in for the drive to her new college.

As they drove through the rain-soaked streets, Simon glanced over at Vivienne. "Nervous?" he asked, his voice filled with concern and a hint of encouragement.

"A little," Vivienne admitted, staring out the window at the passing scenery. "But also excited. It's a new start, right?"

"Exactly," Simon agreed with a nod. "And remember, it's okay to take your time to adjust. You've got this."

The drive was quiet but comfortable, the sound of the rain creating a rhythmic pattern on the roof of the car. When they arrived at the college, Simon pulled up to the front entrance and put the car in park.

"Thanks for the ride, Dad," Vivienne said, leaning over to give him a quick hug.

"Anytime, sweetheart," Simon replied, his eyes filled with pride. "Have a great first day, and call me if you need anything."

Vivienne nodded, then took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. She pulled her hood up against the rain and walked toward the entrance of the college. Despite the drizzle, she felt a sense of determination.
