"What do you mean Nik is dead?" I ask them. "How am I not dead?"

Everyone looked at each other, as if they had no idea how to start, or what they should disclose, eventually their eyes landed on Elijah who walked over to me. "Esther took over Rebekah's body, and then channeled you in order to make Alaric Saltzman an Original."

"An Original? Alaric Saltzman?"

"He went after us all, but Niklaus was in a more vulnerable position." Elijah explains.

"The Bennet witch used Mikael's desiccation spell on him, and locked him in a coffin." Kol adds. "Then right before we could get him back, the teacher stabbed him in the heart."

Rebekah chimes in, "So I drove Elena Gilbert off of the Wickery Bridge, which killed Alaric."

"And because mother's spell was connected to Elena's life, with her death, the spell was broken, and you were able to wake up." Elijah added.

"That's a lot of information to get in thirty seconds." I responded. "So, Nik's dead, Alaric's dead, and Elena's dead."

"It looks like she gets it to me." Rebekah tells the boys. "And you thought it would be hard to explain."

I sit up higher in my bed and throw my leg over, trying to get up. Kol and Elijah immediately come to my side, helping me up. "I think I'm capable of getting out of bed by myself."

"I wouldn't be too sure, love." Kol tells me. "You were weak before Bonnie's spell, and it's been awhile since then."

They each put my arm over their shoulders to help me up. "No need to be dramatic, Kol" I force them to let me go and once they oblige I walk down the stairs. "See, I'm fine."

I walk into the kitchen and grab the bottle of bourbon that was sitting there. "Isn't it a little early for drinking?"

"What can I say, I have a lot of drinking to catch up on." I go to put it up to my mouth, but Elijah takes the glass out of my hand.

I go to say something, but he stops me. "In do time, sister, I'm sure, but right now we have bigger things to deal with."

"We always do, since when is that not an excuse to drink?" I respond, I go to grab my drink back from him, but he just moves it further away again.

"I'm leaving, Kie." Kol says from behind me. "I was leaving before, I only stayed to make sure you were ok, but now that I can get out, I'm going to. I would like it if you still wanted to join me."

"I can't, Kol."

He walks closer to me, grabbing my head, and hugging me. "I know," he whispers in my ear.

"I won't be staying either," Elijah says. "I've got some stuff to take care of elsewhere, but I do hope you and Rebekah look out for each other."

"We always have." Rebekah smiles.

"And we always will." I walk over and hug Elijah. "You better call." I release him, and look at Kol, "You too."

Eventually Elijah and Kol leave to live lives of their own, leaving just me and Rebekah in the big house. I ended up being able to drink my bourbon and also had some blood, to make me stronger so that I could get out of the house.

"Where are you going?" Rebekah asks from the couch as I walk towards the door.

"To find Jeremy." I told her.

"Elena's brother?" She asked, and I nodded. "He dropped by to see you a few times, he has quite the little crush on you."

That makes me smile, "I'll see you later then, Bex."
