warning: I do not have experience of joining anyone or discharging anyone from a hospital, so if anything is incorrect of inaccurate, pls comment!! 

edited: i don't write k-fics anymore, sorry!! i mostly write genshin one shots for fun in my google docs to like train (?) myself before starting to post again, but that's probably going to be on ao3. this account is officially closed after this chapter, sorry!!

 -Lix POV- 

     My scientist. My home. My best friend. My boyfriend. My partner in crime even. Doesn't matter what title or how many titles he holds, he will still mean the world to me.

My heart pounded against my chest as I cautiously entered the horrendously white building. I looked back at Rosé, and then back to the seats of the lobby, feeling uneasy for no apparent reason. 

"Um- excuse me, do you know which room Hwang Hyunjin is situated in?" I ask upon walking up to the reception counter where a nurse stood.

"Hwang Hyunjin you said?" the lady spoke. 

"Yes...Dr. Cho." I speak, gazing upon her badge. 

"Okay," she continues, sitting down on the office chair supposedly scrolling through patient names. "He'll be in room 015 on the lobby floor. Down the hallway to your right." She explains, pointing to the hallway she had mentioned. 

"Thank you." I nod, advancing in the direction of where her finger pointed.

015 was my number in the lab. Coincidence? 

Either way, I arrive upon the room, Rosé placing her hand on my shoulder as I raise my hand to knock the door. 

"Who's there?" I hear a male doctor's voice say. He had a nice baritone voice with a feeling of dandelions for some reason.

I hear Rosé gasp quietly behind me.

"Seungmin? It's Rosé and Jisoo with Felix." 

"Oh-! Come in then. Hyunjin is basically practically healed except for a few minor scars." 

I twist the door nob to reveal a relatively large room with a cramped feeling to it that was most likely caused by the machinery. My eyes light up at the sight of him. 

He was asleep, his raven black hair delicately spread over his facial features. His face was relaxed, chest lightly raising up and down in sync with his breathing. 

I dumbly crack  a smile and sit down next to him. I glance at the other two, who have leaned outside of the room against the wall, Jisoo's shoulder occupied by Rosé's head. 

"Pink...fluffy...unicorns.." I hear. From Hyunjin.

"What the fuck-?!" I visibly jump, gazing down at Hyunjin, a snicker escaping his lips. "You're awake!" I exclaim, placing my phone down. 

Hyunjin adjusted his hospital bed, weakly smiling at me. The hybrid he had created, now reduced to just a human with a tail. 

"Hey Felix." He softly says.

Tears well up in my eyes, and I let out all of the built up emotions that have been stuck inside of my gut into my palms. I can't tell if they were tears of joy or tears of relief. 

"Hey...shh...I'm alright." I hear again. I look up, wiping a stray tear that was cascading down my cheek. I sit up to give him a gentle forehead kiss, smiling into it. 

"I missed you," I softly say, wishing to embrace him. Against my plans though, I got up to move to the other side, leaning in to leave a trail of kisses on his scars. Feeling him shudder and giggle softly, I figured he was ticklish. "I could ask if Jisoo-noona could drive us back to your house." 

He nodded in return. I once again exited the room, walking straight to the others. 

"Erm- Jisoo-noona, would you mind driving us back to his house?" I shyly say, placing my right hand on the nape of my neck.

"Oh, of course I don't mind. Come on, let's go." She says, gesturing towards us. 

We move towards to front reception, seeing Dr. Kim and Dr. Cho standing near the desk, looking down at something.

"Excuse me, Dr. Kim?" I ask, waving my hand for no real reason.

"Oh, yes, do you need something? Discharging Hyunjin?" 

"Yes, that's it." I nod politely.

"Alright, let me just get the paperwork situated real quick." He says, reaching down for a pen to scribble on the piece of text-filled paper. He hands it to me, explaining where to sign. 

I scribble my name and signature in the designated areas quickly and return the paper to him.

"Alright, you're all set. Thought, you may need to return for a few check ups on Hyunjin to see if he's recovering well enough." He explains. I nod in return, taking every word he says into account. 

"Thank you." I say, nodding my head politely. 

We follow Jisoo out of the building to her car, Rosé entering front seat and Hyunjin and I entering the back. 

"Uh...Hyunjin. May I talk to you about something?" 

"Oh yeah, of course. Ask away." He says, tilting his head and smiling at me. 

"Remember how your brother had like the same phone number as you? Well...you may want to change it because..." I say, bringing my phone to show the messages. "look. I got these messages a few days ago." 

His face's features just ever so slightly grow hard, skimming through the text. 

"Oh. I should, shouldn't I." He softly says, ruffling my hair.

"Hey-!" I laugh, patting my hair down to return it to its original shape. 

"I'll get it situated some time. Thanks for telling me thought, Lix." He says.

"Okay, Jinnie." I say with a soft smirk.

"Hey!" 

I chuckle, leaning in to kiss him. I missed him, and I felt touch starved. The kiss was soft as I melted into his touch, softly pressing my lips against his. 

They felt chapped, and warm though. I made a mental note to buy him more of the chapstick he uses. Eventually, I will. 

"Alright you two, we're here." Rosé says, turning toward us. "Oh!"

We were still kissing.
