1867 - New Orleans

Klaus awoke with a gasp from where he laid on the alley floor, surrounded by dead witches, looking around desperately as he tried to find Victoria. He couldn't. They took her. He was going to kill them and get his girl back.

Full of rage, he searched the whole of New Orleans, using his heightened senses to try and find her but it was no use. He stalked into the compound, blood all over him and his face vengeful. His whole family was there, Rebekah was the first to get up and question, "Nik, what the hell happened to you? Where's Vic?"

He panted, unable to contain his anger, " They took her."

"Who is they?" Elijah questioned as his face dropped like the rest of them.

"Those witches, the ones that have been sacrificing children i'm guessing with the amount of power they had. They ambushed us, I couldn't get to her in time, I couldn't save her." He looked distraught, his eyes glossy and traumatised as he stared at his bloody hands. Elijah came and placed his hand on his shoulder for comfort, but he shrugged it off, he didn't need comfort, he needed to find her. "I need to get her back, Elijah."

"We will brother, I promise you."

"I'll find some witches willing to help and do a locator spell." Kol immediately left.

"I'll see if any of my guys have seen or heard anything." Marcel left too.

"I'll get a wolf willing to help sense her out." Although Klaus was part wolf, his curse prevented him from achieving his true potential. Rebekah was smart to come up with the idea, no one could track better than a wolf. Then she left too, all of them distraught by the news. Everyone loved Victoria, she was part of the family. They needed to find her.

He had never felt this scared in his life, not even of his father. He couldn't live without Victoria, he needed her back.

"I couldn't save her." He just muttered to Elijah as he continued to look devastated. "I failed her."

"You did not fail her brother. Let's go get her back." Elijah put a hand on his shoulder and led him to his room to figure out what to do.

Victoria awoke slowly, her eyes fluttering open, she felt so utterly weak. As her eyes adjusted to the dark lighting, she realised her hands and feet were bound by chains, the cold metal harsh on her skin as she tried to pull herself out of them. She examined the room she was in: a cold, grey, concrete cell, and gasped when she saw a familiar figure chained in the opposite corner. "James! James!" She shouted trying to awake him. He woke up blinking fast, and he quickly realised where he was.

"Victoria? What the hell? What happened?" He questioned, confused and scared as he pulled on his chains.

"How did you end you up here?" She was terribly confused on why.

"I don't know, these people, they just attacked me on my way to yours, i was bringing baby supplies. Do you know who they are?"

"These witches that- "

"Witches?!"

She had forgotten for a second that James did not yet know of the supernatural world. But to be frank, she didn't have the time nor did she have the effort to explain all this to him, not when finding a way out was much more urgent.

"Yes, look James, witches exist. They do magic. So do werewolves and vampires, but not all of them are bad. These witches however, like to sacrifice innocent children and use dark magic, they're truly evil, and we need to get out of here, now." She summarised as she was just desolate to find a way out. "Okay, do you think you can break out of these chains?"
