After the Student Council President and Secretary Tachibana had left, Kai and Sakura remained there for a bit, as Sakura cried a little bit.

After a bit of sobbing, Sakura finally stopped, as she turned her attention to the person beside her.

Her eyes were still puffy red however it seemed as if she had managed to get rid of what was in her system.

Sakura: I let you see something so embarrassing...

Sakura, walking next to Kai, had stopped crying. She now wore a sheepish smile.

Sakura: It's been such a long time since I cried in front of someone. I feel a little relieved, actually.

Hearing her, Kai looked happy, that he was able to help her somehow.

Sometimes, telling someone that you don't know what you're feeling or even ranting, can really help them.

Kai: I'm glad. I know who it feels to bottle such strong emotions. And, when I shared them with someone else, I started to feel better.

Hearing him, Sakura looked at Kai intrigued at his small confession.

Sakura: Really? I had no idea that you were like that, Kayaba-kun. That's completely unlike the image I have of you.

Hearing her, he laughed as he started to reminisce about his life.

Kai: Yeah. I've held those emotions in for so long, that after I let them out, I couldn't but cry. I was a mess when it happened.

He'd been frustrated and embarrassed, but he'd been unable to stop crying. Once he started to truly say out loud what he felt, a part of him that was long gone, had momentarily returned.

Even if it was just for a day. He was able to empty his worries and doubts, as he cried into the sky that night.

However, people who cried could grow stronger and move forward. Sakura seemed to be the type who also bottled up her feelings.

This incident might have been an important step forward for her.

As they continued to walk, Sakura then looked at Kai, as she gained an embarrassed expression.

She fiddle on the spot, as she avoided his gaze.

Sakura: I was really happy... when you said that you believed me.

Kai: It wasn't just me. Horikita, Kushida, and Sudou do, too. All of our classmates believe you.

Sakura: Yeah... But you came out and told me directly, Kayaba-kun. You said it.

Sakura wiped her eyes once again, probably because the tears blurred her vision.

Sakura: *Smile* You gave me courage. I was happy.

As Sakura smiled, Kai couldn't help but also smile in return. Even if it was a small action, he did felt kind of content that he managed to help her.

Although in his opinion it wasn't that big, his trust in her might have been the reason why she even joined the trial in the first place.
