Waking up the next morning felt like falling face first to the hard bathroom floor. I woke up with a banging headache, no surprise since I did go a little over the top yesterday. Let's not talk about it.

As I stood up all my memories flew back to me about all the bullshit that happened with Lucas and Sylvia yesterday. I wanna be upset about it but my head hurts too much for me to even bother standing up, non the less to think about Sylvia.

I make my way to the living room/kitchen area and see my mom reading a book while she's listening to some type of meditation music just like she always did when I lived at home.

"Oh, good morning sweetheart. Did you have a long night yesterday?" She asked, chuckling softly.

She's probably judging that by my eyeliner that's most likely all over my face by now.

I laughed a little. "yeah I had fun though." I wasn't lying completely. I did have fun except for some minor things that I'm trying not to think about.

"I'm glad to hear that. I have put some painkillers on the counter for you in case this would happen." My mom laughed a little then continued.

"I remember when you used to live here. You would always get too drunk then complain the next day like you didn't know it was gonna happen."

I didn't know rather to be offended by my mom's comment or not but in all honesty it made me very nostalgic. You don't realise how much you miss your family before you've tried being without them for as long as I have.

"Thanks mom." I said, she nodded and I went over to the counter to get my pills and some water to get them down with.
I was about to make my way back up to the guest
room when my mom interrupted.

"Marc wait, do you think you can go the bakery. It's not far from here and I was thinking you could bring Olivia too." She asked.

"Doesn't Olivia have school?" I was genuinely confused.

"Marc, how much did you drink?" My mom laughed out loud.

"It's a Sunday." She continued. I stood there mouth open, realizing how dumb I was. Damn I guess being a musician really did take a bad turn on me.

It's first now that I realize how little understanding of time I actually have. That almost hit me in the face harder than the hangover I got waking up this morning.

"I'll take her mom, don't worry!" I was a little hesitant since the pills hadn't started working yet but I also do wanna get to spend as much time with Olivia as I can.

Sometimes I can't help but feel guilty for not being there for her as much as I could when she grew up. But I'm also pretty content with the fact that whenever I retire from music I'll be able to bring my mom and sister places with all the money I've saved up. My sister always wanted to go to Hawaii and it's been my plan since she was little that I would bring her one day and finally it seems possible that the day might actually come.

I woke up Olivia who was thrilled to go out and hang out with me and then afterwards I proceeded to get ready to leave. I did bring a pair of pajamas pants with flannel partners that I was gonna sleep in last night but I guess I was too far gone to do anything when I got home. I decided to just wear the pajamas pants and one of my other millions of band shirts not thinking anyone is gonna recognise me here. I clean off my eyeliner and walk to the entry hall to wait for Olivia.

She walks over to me. She's wearing a white T-shirt. It took me a while to notice but I suddenly realize it's my bands merch.

"You're looking quite stylish in that Oli, I can't lie" I said laughing slightly.
