ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ᴛᴡᴏ

"ɪ ʟɪᴋᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʙʀᴀɪᴅs,"ɪ sᴀɪᴅ ᴛʀᴜᴛʜғᴜʟʟʏ. Jude looked up from her bed. Tatterfell had done her hair so it looked like she had horns. I liked it. They were very pretty, if you ask me. I sat down next to my big sister. Even though she and Taryn both was one year older than me, Vivi liked to joke that I was more mature than them.

"I like your dress," she told me, and I smiled to her. I looked at her stuffed toys. A koala, a snake and a black cat. My bed was also stuffed with some toys, beloved from my six-year old self. But my most beloved items of them all, were definitely all my books. I loved reading books, and I'm thankful that I took some with me, when Madoc took us.

Taryn also joins us, in Jude's room. She makes a comment about Jude's hairs, and then jump up in the bed. "I have a premonition," Taryn finally says. "Tonight we're gonna have fun,"

"Fun?" Jude asks, as if she's never heard of it before. That's typical Jude. In my opinion, she's always very serious.

"Yes," I say and nod. "Tonight we're gonna have fun."

Jude furrows get eyebrows. "What exactly does this plan entail?" She asks, and me and Taryn facepalms.

Taryn throws up her hands. "What do you mean, what does fun entail? It's fun!" I roll my eyes at her. She doesn't sound convincing at all.

Jude laughs. "You have no idea, either, do you? Fine let's go see if you have a gift for prophecy." She jokes.

I look outside. "We better get going now." I announced.

"Ivy's right," Taryn nods. She stands up, and helps me up. I take Jude's hand and begin to pull her up.

As we walked downstairs, I look at my sisters. We've grown. We've all grown. And we're gonna grow older. Even if we don't like it.

"Heading somewhere?" A voice scares me and Taryn. I jump a little, and turn around. It's Vivi. Shes hiding on a little balcony, reading in a comic book. She's wearing jeans and a billowy shirt. I sigh. That means she isn't gonna come with us. Being Madoc's legitimate daughter, she feels no pressure to please him. She does whatever she likes, like reading magazines from the human world, she knows will make him annoyed.

"You know where we are going," Jude informs her. Jude probably saw her the moment we walked downstairs.

Vivi scoffs. I remember when we first got here. We would huddle together in Vivi's big bed and talk about everything we remembered from home. We talked and talked. About the meals mom would burn. About the popcorns dad would make. We talked until all our memories were polished smooth and false.

We don't do that anymore. Everything I remember, is from here. All my memories. We've grown to adapt living here. And Vivi hate hates us for it. She has stuck to her vow about hating Madoc.

"You could come with us," I propose, shrugging. She looks at me with small eyes.

"Yeah, Taryn's in a weird mood," Jude says.

"No thank you," Vivi shakes her head. "I've got other plans." That could mean two things. That she'll sneak into the mortal world for the evening, or that she'll stay on the balcony, reading.

Either way, if it annoys Madoc, it pleases Vivi.
