3rd person POV:

"See you tomorrow, taehyung-ah!" The old man waved enthusiastically at him as he walked away with his wife of 20 years who had come to pick him up today. The way they looked at each other with a shine in their eyes and fond smiles showed just how much in love they were even after decades of being together.

"See you tomorrow, hyung." He replied as he smiled as much as he could before he had to look away from the couple.

Once the couple had left, he closed his eyes and craned his neck backwards, cracking his knuckles before he sat straight and went back to his work. He knew he would be here working for another few hours doing overtime like he usually does just so he can spend another few hours away from his house.

But today wasn't in his favour as not even half an hour later, his boss walked in the empty office where no one else but one man was left who was working quietly.

"Taehyung-ah, you need to go home for today. As much as I'm delighted that you want to overtime and finish this project quickly, I need to close the office early. I have a date with my wife today." The man said once he stood beside the younger who looked up at him with parted lips, showing disbelief.

"Sir, I'll close the office by myself later. I promise I won't forget to lock it." His voice was low, almost pleading and the older man shook his head immediately saying, "I trust you, taehyung. You've been working here for years, of course I do. But also you've been working overtime every single day these days, this can't go on line this. You need to have some rest. Go home for today, and maybe spend time with your wife or something. I'm sure she misses you too."

The boss was a frank, friendly man who was close with almost all the employees to freely joke around with them like this and as the man said that, Taehyung knew he couldn't argue with him anymore as he nodded his head and started packing his stuff before he got up with his bag hanging on his shoulder.

"I'll be leaving then, sir. I hope you enjoy your date with your wife." He smiled at the man and bowed in his direction who reciprocated the smile and with that, taehyung walked out of the office and then the building with dread filling his gut.

"Tae, is that you? Are you home early, today?" Seonghee let out as she walked out of the kitchen while wiping her hands on the apron when she heard the main door clicking shut behind someone.

The man closed his eyes as he stood against the door for a second before he muttered a 'yes' in response and removed his shoes, and jacket before stepping inside.

The woman removed her apron once she saw him walking into the living area before she stepped infront of him, making him stop in his treads as he looked in her eyes.

"I missed you." She smiled at him fondly as she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him but taehyung couldn't bring himself to hug her back, just not today.

Standing there stiff between the hold of his wife, he could only bring himself to move when seonghee placed a hand on his cheek and looked back in his eyes which only indicated one thing.

She wanted him to kiss him.

"Seonghee, later please. I'm tired today." He whispered, his voice was barely audible as he stepped back from her and walked away before she could say anything but he had to stop before he could open the door of their room when he heard—

"Aren't you always tired, taehyung? Sometimes I wonder if you're just tired in general or tired of me and tired of this marriage ." The woman didn't sound angry, or disappointed. She too, sounded.. tired.

She was looking at him, as if wanting him to say something, anything but he just lowered his head and opened the door of their room before closing it behind him without uttering a word.
