"I still don't believe all this about Xia being the Savior! She hasn't had any connection to the Avatar. How would she know if he was the Avatar or not! You just let him get away! It'll take weeks to find him again! I could have had him home by spring but you–" Zuko growls out.

"ENOUGH! He was obviously NOT the Avatar, Nor even an Air Nomad! All you have accomplished today is harassing an innocent man, disrespecting a venerated Elder, and dishonoring yourself by doing so! It is behavior unbecoming of a Prince, and I will NOT stand for it." Iroh scolds.

"But... if it isn't him, then... Uncle, I don't even know where to look anymore. The world's just so big, and I... He knew the airbenders, and not even He can tell me where the Avatar went." Zuko begins crying.

"Zuko... I understand how hard these months have been for you. You lost your family and your home in the space of a few days. You have been charged with a task men twice your age would cower from. I am sorry that I could not stand in the face of these things. I wish that I could have given you more than a crew, a childhood friend and an old man's companionship. When Lu Ten died, I felt as if my own life had ended. It took all the strength I had to wake up each morning... to get out of bed and go out into a world in which my son no longer lived. You are stronger than I have ever been, Prince Zuko. You have struggled for all the things that were given to me. I lay down before my own grief, but you fought through a wilderness unlike any I have ever had to face." Iroh explains as he kneels beside Zuko. Zuko continues to cry.

"But now, as you stand before the life that has been handed to you, I want you to take care - of yourself, and of the world as you move through it. I trust that you will learn, in time, how to balance the strength of your will against the needs of your spirit. I trust that you will find your own path, though it may not always take the shape that you expect." Iroh continues.

"I just... Uncle, what if they're right? What if the Avatar really is gone? What if this search really is pointless? What if... What if there's no way for me to go home again?" Zuko asks before Iroh hugs Zuko, surprising him.

"A journey of self-discovery is never pointless, Prince Zuko. However Dim your path may seem, and however far you may wander from it... the important thing is that you learn from all of your mistakes along the way... And never forget for one moment who you are, or what you are struggling to be." Iroh tells Zuko. Above them, Xia was finishing up. She stood outside and stared up at the sky.

Xia has learned many things during her conversation with her great grandfather. She had family in the Southern Water Tribe, an aunt named Kya.

"Goodbye Master Pathik. Thank you." Xia tells him as she bows respectfully.

"The next time we meet, Young Savior, you will have the Avatar with you." Pathik explains.

"I believe that. I'll bring him back when he's ready." Xia explains and Pathik nods. Xia rushes off and she uses her waterbending to get down the snow to Zuko and Iroh. She covers Zuko in snow and she giggles.

"How'd your... Savior stuff go?" Zuko asks as he begins shivering again.

"Good. I spoke with my great Grandfather Haoyu. He said my destiny is mine to follow. Be it we find the Avatar or not. I will remain by your side, Zuko." Xia tells him. Zuko nods at her and they begin heading back to the ship.

Zuko shivers the entire walk back. Xia was cold, but not really that cold. Iroh notices and looks at the two.

"I think, perhaps, that it's time I taught you about the breath of fire." Iroh explains.
