"We have to go after that ship, Sokka. Aang saved our tribe and... we need to rescue our cousin! We have to save them both!" Katara exclaims.

"Katara, I–" Sokka begins.

"Why can't you realize that he's on our side?! If we don't help him, no one will! I know you don't like Aang, but we owe him and– that girl, she deserves to know the truth! You read Aunt Jia Li's letters! They were told that she was told they abandoned her! Aunt Jia Li wanted to escape with her! So that she'd be safe! She deserves to know that before she–" Katara rambles.

"Katara, are you going to talk all day or are you coming with me?" Sokka asks.

"Sokka!" Katara exclaims and hugs Sokka tightly.

"Get in. We're going to save your boyfriend." Sokka states.

"He's not my–" Katara begins.

"Whatever." Sokka replies.

"What are you two think you're doing?" Gran Gran asks. Sokka smiles sheepishly and Gran Gran holds up some sleeping bags, one packed for Xia as well.

"You'll need these. You have a long journey ahead of you." Gran Gran tells them, "It's been so long since I've had hope, especially after Qian and Yi Ran passed away fearing they'd never see Jia Li again. But you brought it back to life, my little waterbender." She hugs Katara.

Their Gran Gran, Kanna became friends with Yi Ran, Xia's grandmother when she was just a girl. When Qian arrived, he was dehydrated and sickly. He was nursed back to health and decided to stay. He was captured and taken away when the Waterbenders in the South Pole were taken. Yi Ran was left to raise her twin daughters by herself but she had the entire village. Kanna helped and when Jia Li left to find an Earthbending master, it almost broke Yi Ran's heart. By that time, Sokka and Katara's father had begun courting Kya, so Kya wished her sister good luck.

"And you, my brave warrior, be nice to your sister and cousin when you find her." Gran Gran explains.

"Yeah, ok, Gran." Sokka responds.

"Aang is the Avatar, Xia, your cousin is his Savior. They are the world's only chance. You both found him for a reason. Now your destinies are intertwined with his." Gran Gran explains.

"There's no way we're going to catch a warship with a canoe." Katara points out. Appa grumbles as he walks over the nearby ridge. He calls out to them with a gentle roar.

"Appa!" Katara exclaims.

"You just love taking me out of my comfort zone, don't you?" Sokka asks.

"This staff will make an excellent gift for my father. I suppose you wouldn't know of Fathers being raised by Monks." Zuko states, "Take the Avatar to the Prison hold and take this to my quarters." He holds the staff to Iroh. Aang is dragged away. Xia reaches out for him but Zuko grabs her hand to stop her.

"I don't want you talking to him." Zuko states. Xia's eyes widened and she looked away.

"Hey, you mind taking this to his quarters for me?" Iroh asks. Aang looks towards Xia as long as he can before he is taken below deck.

"Zuko, let me go." Xia states.

"What's your problem? You've been acting strangely since we saw that light." Zuko states.

"You have no idea how I'm feeling, Zuko! You don't care!" Xia snaps at him, ripping her hand free. She headed to her room, angrily.
