Tsukasa's POV:
Class went by slowly, every time the clock ticked I felt myself grow more impatient. It was only the first day of school, and I was already sick of it. But when the bell finally rang, I took my chance.
After school was the last thing on Earth that I could love; extracurriculars. Or, more specifically, theater. I was determined to be the lead part in our play this year, and I won't let anybody get in my way. I speed walk down the hall, saying hi to Akito and Toya as I passed them, and pushed into the drama club's designated room. I beamed as I saw everyone, knowing that this was my year. Nobody could down my spirits.
...
On the stage is where I feel the most confident. I know I've found my passion, my future, because theater is just for me. The way my heart beats, the way everyone in the audience is fixated on the stage. It's perfect.
But when our teacher began talking about the changes to the club that year, she mentioned that the stage crew had a new member. Rui. She told us that Rui was the new stage crew member...no, wait. Not just member, he was the damn stage manager!
How can I be at my best when the damn stage manager is my worst enemy?!?
Well, I might as well worry about things that I can control, and not how Rui is about to get a good scolding.
Rui's POV:
The backstage of our school's performance stage wasn't too complicated. I had spent the time that the drama club was having a meeting to explore the stage and figure out how everything works. I was getting used to it, and was going to leave, when the drama club began coming into the stage.
That's the last thing I was able to notice before I heard someone shout my name...
🌟: "Rui Kamishiro!"
I turned around, about to ask whoever it was for an explanation, when the other grabbed my shirt collar. There he was, staring at me with angry orange eyes.
🌟: "Why won't you leave me alone?!? First, I'm forced to sit with you in class, and now you're trying to take over the drama club?!? I'll have you know that you don't deserve to be here..."
The teacher quickly intervened, taking Tsukasa away before he pummeled me to the ground. I backed away from him, wide eyed. What was his deal...? First, he gets the whole school to hate me, and now he's trying to kick me out of the drama club? If this is all because of the drone incident, I apologized...
🎈: "I...umm..."
I stuttered out the words, but quickly shut my mouth when I saw Tsukasa's glare.
I apologized...
(Teacher)🎭: "You two! What is the meaning of this?"
The drama club teacher asked with anger lining her words,
🎭: "I expected better from upperclassmen!"
Tsukasa bit back his anger, before he bowed his head and looked away from Rui.
🌟: "I'm sorry, ma'am...Kamishiro and I aren't on a good foot."
I looked away, too, giving the teacher a pleading look. Tsukasa could get me kicked from the club...if not expelled!
The teacher looked at Rui, urging him to apologize, as well.
🎈: "I'm sorry...this will stay outside of school."
I responded, giving Tsukasa an annoyed look. He better do that...keep his irrational hatred outside of school. I don't care if he beats me up after school hours, as long as I don't have to deal with teachers berating me.
The teacher gave us both one last look, before walking off to speak with the first years. Tsukasa looked over at me, gave me a scowl, and then left the stage.
Sure...this year will be better than the last...
Tsukasa's POV:
I have never been so happy to leave school. I walked home alone because Saki had plans with her friends to go out, and Toya went home with Akito to cuddle or some sappy romantic activity...(jk Tsukasa loves his brother)
I opened our front door, looked around, but it was in vain. Of course mom and dad weren't home...they were always busy. I walked up the stairs to my bedroom and flopped down on my bed with a huff. School was exhausting...especially since I've had quite the long day.
Pulling out my phone, I opened my messages to see just some notifications from Emu. I tapped on her profile, before chuckling. She was sending me lots and lots of pictures from her day at school. Emu was in the year below me, so I hadn't seen her at all. She also was occupied during drama club, so I spent my day moping about.
Emu had a picture of her class, her lunch, her in drama club...and all sorts of copies of each photo that she for some reason sent.
"Jeez...what am I going to do with you...?"
I kept looking at the photos until I saw one of Emu and someone else at lunch. The other girl had long minty green hair with a grey undertone and purple eyes. Her and Emu were holding hands in the picture, which made me immediately text Emu.
🌟 5:47pm
Hey! Who's the girlfriend?🍬 5:51pm
Nene? Oh yeah! She's my friend! Not girlfriend! Tsukasa-kun, stay away from my love life!🌟 5:52pm
You're holding hands, Emu! Get yourself together.I rolled my eyes at Emu's response, but turned my phone off after she didn't respond to me for a while. Maybe she's busy...she has a weird schedule, anyways.
But I really do wonder, who's that girl? I don't think I've met her before...
A/N:
I finished this chapter so I'm uploading it! I have no clue what happened to the upload schedule but it's been temporarily thrown out of a window. But the next one I plan to make much longer, because this ⬆️ is going to starve hungry Ruikasa fans.Question of the week...
Do you play any instruments? If yes, what are they/what is it? If not, do you do any musical activities?(i.e. choir, theater...etc.)
Bye! :)
