A/N: Thank you guys so much for 1k omg omg
It's around a day later, and Milana and Wanda are in Milana's room, preparing to dye Milana's hair. Milana, feeling a bit adventurous and wanting to change her look, has decided to go for her signature colour—a deep, vibrant purple. The brown hair, she thinks, makes her resemble Peggy too much, and she doesn't want any reminders.
Wanda is mixing the dye, her hands gloved and steady. Vision stands nearby, watching with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
"Milana, are you sure you want to do this?" Vision asks, his voice full of caution. "There are several things that could potentially go wrong with dyeing your hair, such as uneven color, possible allergic reactions, or even damage to the hair follicles—"
Milana cuts him off with a playful roll of her eyes. "Thanks for the warning, Vision, but I'll take my chances."
Wanda chuckles, applying the dye to Milana's hair with practiced ease. "Don't worry, Vision. I've got this."
As Wanda works, Milana's thoughts drift to Steve and Tony. She hasn't heard from either of them in a while, and the silence is worrying. She glances at her phone again, but there are no new messages or missed calls.
Once the dye is applied, Wanda sets a timer and they both sit back, waiting for it to set. "So, why the sudden change?" Wanda asks, curious.
Milana shrugs, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. "I guess I just needed something different. And... I don't want to look like Peggy. It's hard enough feeling like I'm competing with her memory."
Wanda nods in understanding. "I get it. But you're beautiful just the way you are, Milana. Steve knows that too."
The timer goes off, and Milana heads to the bathroom to rinse out the dye. As she stands under the warm spray of the shower, she thinks about Steve. She's worried about him, especially since he hasn't been responding to her texts or calls. And Tony—what could have happened after he left so abruptly yesterday?
Milana finishes her shower and wraps herself in a towel, her now deep purple hair cascading around her shoulders. She steps out of the bathroom and is immediately met with the sound of a commotion coming from the main room.
She hurries out, still in her towel, and her eyes widen at the sight of a large hole in the ground. Vision is at the bottom, looking dazed. To her side, she sees Clint leaving with Wanda.
"Clint! Wanda! What's going on?" Milana calls out, her voice filled with urgency.
Clint stops in his tracks, turning back to her. "Milana, we need you. Steve needs you. Come with us."
Milana glances at the massive hole in the floor where Vision is and back to Clint. The weight of the situation sinks in. She feels a surge of guilt and responsibility.
"I can't," she says, shaking her head. "I don't want to create any more problems. After what happened in Lagos, I feel like I need to play by the rules for once."
Clint's face softens, but he respects her decision. "Alright Milana, we understand."
Wanda steps forward, giving Milana a quick hug. "Take care of yourself. We'll handle things and come back for you."
Milana nods, feeling a mix of relief and sadness. "Be safe. I'll be here if you need me."
As Clint and Wanda leave, Milana watches them go, her heart heavy but resolute. She turns back to the compound, determined to stay out of trouble and hoping her decision will help make amends for her past mistakes.
