Alastor's POV

Vox arrives at the tower ten minutes after Velvette started working on clothes for me. Valentino tells Vox about the deal we made. Vox seems overly joyful about this, once he heard what the deal was. First, Valentino just said we made a deal. Didn't give any detail whatsoever. Vox jumped to conclusions and thought I became the next Angel Dust. Ha, never going to happen. Then Val told him. After Vox learned this, he's been eager to show me something. I just have to wait about a couple days before he shows me. Strange.

All day, Vox has never left my side. He won't leave me alone for two seconds. Like a clingy boyfriend. It's quite annoying. He likes to touch my ears a lot. I don't understand why he's obsessed with my ears. They're ears. What is there to be obsessed about? He's also been acting weird for the last few hours. He randomly hugs me and I pry him off with my tentacles. Sometimes, he runs into me to get a hug, making us both fall to the ground. I was trying to have a conversation with Velvette in the dining room, only to get knocked down by this silly picture box for a hug.

I've never hated a hug more in my life.

I managed to escape from his clinginess because his assistant needed him in the lobby. Someone was here to see him. Thank you to whoever that was. I go to Velvette's studio and she sets me up with a secret room, apparently Vox doesn't know it exists. The room isn't large. Maybe half the size of an average hotel room. The purple walls and purple lights hang down from the ceiling on one wall. Two fluffy dark purple bean bags sit against the corners of the wall with a small black table between them. I sit down in one of the bean bags, getting comfortable. I spawn a book and radio with my magic. I quietly play jazz as I read. Finally some peace in this place. I feel so much calmer as the stress releases from me. My smile feels less forced and tight, now more relaxed and soft. The only sounds that can be heard is the soft jazz and the sound of me breathing. No annoying TV head or sex-driven moth. Just some peace. It's refreshing.

I hear a bang coming from outside this room and in Velvette's studio. Assuming it's one of the V's that's more than likely looking for me, I turn off my jazz. I set down my book on the black table next to my radio and listen. It indeed is Vox. Must have finished talking to whoever was downstairs.

"Where is he, Vel?!" He yells. "I need him!"

"I don't know. Why don't you leave him alone for 2 seconds? Like fuck. You're always all over him when you're here. He likes his space, dumbass. Give him some space. He'll come back to you once he feels comfortable. Now shoo, piss baby. I got work." Another reason why Velvette is my favorite V. "And don't forget tomorrow's Overlord meeting!" I don't really want to go to that meeting, but it seems like every Overlord must. Since it needs all three of the V's. Normally one would suffice. That is usually Vox, besides Velvette that one time. I assume Vox has left because it's gone quiet, so I turn my radio back on and continue reading for a few more hours.

After I finished reading and feel like I can deal with Vox and Val again, I leave the room. I make the radio and the book disappear with a snap of my fingers. I walk to Vox's room, change, then climb into bed. I'll skip dinner tonight. Not much longer before I feel Vox join me, then Valentino not long after that. I feel three pairs of arms wrap around me as they sandwich me between them.

Vox's POV

~10 o'clock Next Morning~

Alastor is still asleep. Valentino is whining to Velvette about the meeting. Normally meetings are never scheduled, you just get called and you go. And they never need all three of us V's, so it must be important. Velvette is trying to get the baby out of her hair. I make myself coffee and a cup for Al too. I make sure to put a tablespoon of a random sinner's blood I keep in our fridge. He likes it like that. I walk to my room with the two finished cups of coffee. I still need to finish his room.

"Alastor," I whisper. He groans and plants his face deeper into the pillow. He's so cute. "C'mon Al. Wakey wakey. I brought you coffee." He shakes his head. I wish I could keep him locked up and away from everyone else's eyes so only I can see this little man for myself and Val. He's so precious to us. Like glass. I set his coffee on the nightstand and sip mine. Such a little sleepy head. I take another sip before setting my cup on the nightstand. I reach my hand to touch his face, but I hesitate, taking my hand back a little. Should I touch him? He might rip me to shreds if I do. But he might not. I reach out and touch his ears. So fluffing soft.

"Stop that." His ears pin back.

"Aw. C'mon." He lifts his head up then immediately shoves his face back into the pillow.

"Too bright."

"Shit, sorry." I close the blinds and lower the brightness of my screen. "There. It's not bright in here anymore." He lifts up his head and yawns. I love his messy hair. Well I love every aspect of him, but that doesn't matter. "Drink your coffee and get dressed. We have a meeting in a couple hours."

"Lovely." I leave the room, taking my coffee with me, and walk around. Valentino has left Velvette alone. She seems relieved. Val focuses on putting diamonds on his guns. Arts and crafts. He likes decorating his guns, that's for sure. Every gun he owns has some kind of diamond design on it. Whether it's his name or a pattern. Vel is on her phone, as usual, laying on one of our couches. A few minutes later, Alastor comes out with his cup of coffee.

"You like your coffee?" I ask.

"Yes, very delicious. Who's blood is in it though?" He swirls the cup around and looks at the mini tornado before looking up at me.

"Random sinner's. Why?"

"Hm." He sounds...disappointed? He walks away. Did he want someone specific?
