Velvette's POV

Vox and Val come back to the tower with mud up to their ankles, both tired. I found the window that's now all over the floor in a million pieces. That's fucking wonderful. I just love finding a broken window and the boys missing. Even Alastor is missing. Which is odd for him.

"What the fuck happened here?" I ask. "Where'd you run off to?"

"Lucifer fucking ruined everything!" Vox yells mostly to himself. Val throws his coat onto a chair. He's pissed and not yelling? Odd. What the fuck did Lucifer do? What is he doing with Overlords like us?

"What did Lucifer do, Vox?" I ask in a calmer tone.

"That pathetic little midget thinks he can just walk wherever the fuck he pleases and spread lies about us. Now Alastor thinks we're playing with him and...a-and." His screen glitches for a moment. He's really pissed. "Now he's fu-u-cking gone." So Lucifer, I'm guessing, shattered the window to get in and told a bunch of lies. Which caused Alastor to run away and think it's all true. Valentino grabs a gun. He didn't ask which one makes him look sexier. He is REALLY pissed.

"Fuck no. I am not going to let that sorry excuse of a King walk over us like that. Get your stuff fuckwits. Let's go." I shove my phone in my pocket and order a random employee to fix the window. I grab my purple sparkly knife I rarely ever even pick up and take it with. We drive in the limo to the stupid redemption hotel and I barge in. Val's porn spider jumps behind the bar counter with the pussy cat.

"Oh! Uh hi?" Charlie greets us nervously.

"Where's your father?!" I ask. "I would like to have a word with him."

"Oh uh, let me go get him! He's in his room at the moment." Charlie runs upstairs. The princess's little girlfriend gives us a death stare. Her spear in her hand, ready to turn us into a demon kabob. I don't pay her any attention.

Charlie comes downstairs with her dad. Once he sees us, he stops in his tracks and narrows his eyes. Charlie raises an eyebrow, confused. He whispers to Charlie and she whispers back.

"The fuck do you think you're doing?" I yell. "Waltzing in like you own the fucking place and completely ruin a relationship?" Angel peaks over the counter, intrigued.

"Dad, what is she talking about?"

"I don't know, dear," Lucifer lies.

"Stop fucking lying! You broke into our tower, told Alastor some bullshitty lie just to get him to stop trusting these two dumbasses and break the whole fucking relationship." Everyone at this point is staring at us with wide eyes, besides Angel Dust who's smirking. And besides Lucifer, who looks angry. I lean backwards a bit. "Did no one here know about it?" I whisper.

"No. He didn't want it public yet," Val whispers back.

"Well. Shit. He can sue me later. You still ruined a relationship for no fucking reason asshole!"

"Dad...is this true?" Charlie asks, looking at her raging father in disbelief. He wouldn't lie to his daughter. Instead of answering the sunshine and rainbows of Hell, he charges at us.

Alastor's POV
~Few Days Later~

I'm in the room I had when I was here for seven years. Can't say I missed it. Everything is white. I hate it. But I need somewhere quiet and this is the best option. Hell is quite noisy. Nobody in Heaven bothers me. Nobody knocks on my door besides Lilith and she barely bothers me. Lilith's room is across from mine, apparently for whenever she wanted me to get her something. Now she doesn't own my soul, so I don't have to worry about that.

I lay on the fluffy white bed, looking up at the ceiling. My coat lays against a white chair. I'm currently replaying everything in my head. Val's and Vox's desperate pleas before I left. Them calling for me in the middle of the forest. The memories of our time together fill my head.

I cover my face with a pillow and groan loudly. I hate my afterlife. Everything is just a big old mistake. Maybe I'm the mistake, like my father has always told me. Maybe it's all my fault. Maybe my father was right about me.

A knock on my bedroom door takes me away from my thoughts. What does Lilith want? I get up and open the door. She gives me a sad look. I probably look like shit.

"Alastor, this is hurting you more than you say it is," she points out.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I lie. She knows I'm lying. But I don't care. "Is...is my whole life just a big mistake? A joke?" Her eyes soften, like she's hugging me with them. I look away and my ears go back.

"Baby, noo. You're not a mistake. Nor a joke. Just because one complicated issue arises, doesn't mean your whole existence seems like a waste. Rosie!! Your friend needs you!" Rosie? My ears perk up. Wait, what's Rosie doing here? She walks out of the living room and towards us.

"Oh Alastor. It's wonderful to see you here, dear. Why are you here?" Rosie asks.

"I was about to ask you the same question."

"Lilith's my girlfriend, sweetheart." Wait what? "Now I heard you needed me. What's wrong, dear?" I blink at her as Lilith wraps an arm around Rosie's waist and kisses her before leaving. I'm like a deer in headlights. "Alastor?" I blink and look at her.

"N-Nothing's wrong."

"Don't lie to me, dear. I know something's up. Now sit down and tell Rosie what's making you sad." She walks into my bedroom and shuts the door behind us. I sit on the bed and sigh. She frowns and sits beside me, setting a hand on my shoulder.

"When I told you I was taking a break, being away for a bit, I...I lied. I was at the Vs tower. I only lied because I didn't want anyone to know until I understood what I was feeling. I'm sorry I lied to you."

"It's okay, Al. I forgive you. Why were you at the Vs tower anyway?" I chuckle dryly.

"Would you believe that Val kidnapped me? And I stayed?"

"Why'd you stay? I thought you hated the Vs."

"I don't know. After a bit, I was having this feeling for Vox and Val, a new feeling that didn't want me to leave. So I didn't. I felt comfortable there and around them. I felt safe and opened up a little. We three became partners. And it was all a stupid mistake."

"Oh deer, what happened?" She holds my hand in her hands. I don't look at her and stare at her smaller hands.

"Lucifer broke into the tower and played a recording of them saying I was just basically their toy and that they just wanted to rid me from Hell."

"What did they say? Vox and Val."

"They denied it, of course. Any demon would deny that, whether they are playing with my heart or not. Vox stated it was AI, which he taught me a bit about."

"AI? Hm. Do you believe Lucifer's accusations?"

"It makes sense. Why would Val actually want a romantic relationship? Why would Vox love me after our fallout years ago?" Rosie chuckles. "Why are you laughing?"

"Vox had always loved you. He came to me once because he wanted to know how to ask you out. I don't think you took the signs, dear." Is that what those dinners were for? I thought he was being friendly. I look at her and blink a few times. She laughs. "But, back to before, I assume you left after you heard. How did they respond?"

"Well, they tried to talk to me, but I just left. I went into the forest to be alone, then Lilith found me. She told me they really do love me, but I don't know. I don't know, Rosie. I don't know who to believe."

"I think you should let them explain. I don't know if what Lucifer told you was true, but I still think you should hear them out. This breakup is hurting you a lot, Al. I can tell. Just talk to them, it'll help a lot."

"Thank you, Rosie. What will I ever do without you? Wait, if you're here, who's watching over Cannibal Town?"

"Zestial."

"That poor man." We both laugh.
