Even though Geto was this close to him, Satoru didn't flinch and stared deeply into his eyes. Trying to find answers. Answers to the questions he was terrified to ask. Geto stares back waiting for Satoru to say something or make a move. After a moment, Satoru finally sighs and lowers his head.
"I can't understand you anymore Su- Geto... before I could read you but now... your eyes are so... empty" Geto's lashes flutter but he refuses to let any emotions come to his face. He breaks down in a chuckle and shakes his head.
"You're wrong" Satoru lifts his head up and looks at Geto who slowly approaches him even closer. So close that now Satoru could feel Geto's cold breath hitting his lips. He gulps.
"You never understood me Gojo" Geto's comment completely crumbles Satoru who flinches and slowly widens his eyes. Geto looks at him with such emotions that Satoru is unable to unravel.
"Tell me then Suguru... were all those 'I love yous' a lie..?" His voice trembles as he asks this question. It took so much courage for him to ask this. It was not because this question was hard, it was because he was afraid of the reply.
No...
He was terrified.
Geto slowly shuts his eyes and lets out a sigh.
"Yes," Satoru's heart skips a beat.
No...
That's a lie...
He is lying...
"Dont lie Suguru"
"It's not a lie"
"Yes, it is!"
"NO IT'S NOT! I FUCKING HATE YOU! WHY DON'T YOU GET IT SATORU?!" Satoru flinches, Geto's mask finally cracks, and he finally sees the agony in Geto's eyes. The pain. He sees it all. Geto instantly backs away and takes a deep breath, quickly repairing the crack. The emotions and feelings vanish from his eyes in seconds. Satoru's heart aches at the scene as he approaches Geto and grabs his wrist before pulling him closer. Geto flinches and looks at Satoru with wide eyes.
"I know it's a lie Suguru... I have seen it in your eyes... your eyes never lie" He says as Geto's eyes widen further with tears threatening to fall. Yet he snatches away his hand and backs away. Satoru's pale blue eyes fixed on Geto.
"Don't lie to yourself Satoru, you know I was fucking lying this whole time... I never loved you. I was playing with you" Geto says and turns away his head. Refusing to look at the being that was standing in front of him. He was growing afraid. The longer Satoru stays here, the more his mask cracks and he cannot absolutely take the risk.
Satoru chuckles and shakes his head before slowly removing his glasses and throwing them on the bed.
"And you expect me to believe your bullshit? How much longer are you gonna keep this up Suguru? Just... just let go... just tell me... why..." Tears slowly gather around in his eyes as he gulps them down.
No.
He wasn't gonna cry.
He will try his best not to cry.
Geto sighs and shakes his head.
"You won't understand"
"Try me"
"YOU WON'T SATORU! WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!" Suguru snaps towards Satoru, tears visible in his eyes. Satoru feels chills run down his spine. He has never seen Suguru this in pain before.
Or maybe he was just too good at hiding it.
Satoru's throat ran dry as he clenched his fists.
"Why... don't you try...?" He mumbles out, his head lowering. He suddenly hears the clacking of the chains and as soon as he lifts his head, he is harshly slammed against the wall. Suguru's hand grabs his neck as he puts a little pressure. Satoru looks deeply in his eyes.
He could see it all now.
"I know you're not wrong Suguru... I know you're not" Suguru's body freezes as Satoru's hand slowly lifts before softly landing on his cheek. He slowly caresses it and smiles. Tears slowly streamed down Suguru's cheeks and this was the first ever time, Satoru had ever seen Suguru cry.
"You were right Suguru... if only you would've told me... I would've helped you out..." Satoru's icy eyes glow with tears, Suguru is as still as the wall, tears streaming down but he doesn't blink, he continues to stare at Satoru.
"I am sorry love... I-... I fucking... I fucked up didn't I?" Satoru choked up and finally let the tears free. Suguru flinches and instantly lets go of Satoru's neck. Satoru's hand was still on his cheek as he slowly caressed it.
"Come back to me Suguru... come back with me..." Satoru chokes out as Suguru shakes his head, he instantly raises his hand and removes Satoru's before wiping his tears.
"I will ruin you"
"Then ruin me, if it's you, I would be glad" Suguru paused and then choked out a sob, he clenched his fists as he jerked his head to the side.
"Why do you still love me Satoru... I am fucking criminal! I ruined you! I betrayed you! I fucking broke the promise we made! Why!! Why do you still insist!? Why don't you just-" Suguru sobs and sobs, his heart burning along with his throat. He wanted to say so much more but the words were stuck in his throat and refused to come out. Suguru falls down on his knees and grabs his neck before crying out.
Satoru rushes towards him and falls down on his knees too before grabbing Suguru and hugging him tightly.
"Let's run away Suguru... far away... where you and me can live peacefully without any burden... without any tension... without any responsibility... please Suguru... please" Satoru sobs on his shoulder and embraces him tightly.
Afraid of Suguru vanishing away from his hands.
He can't bear it.
Losing Suguru was like losing a part of himself.
It was too painful.
Suguru shakes his head again.
"I am ruined Satoru... I will ruin you too"
"Then do it, let's fucking ruin together Suguru, let's fucking die together, I don't care. I don't need anything else instead of you"
"WHY?!"
"BECAUSE I FUCKING LOVE YOU! I love you Suguru... it's too painful without you... the world is too cruel without you by my side... everything is colorless without you my Love, you're everything I need. You're my world, my life, my soul, my colors, my remedy, my... you're my home Suguru..." Satoru's words only make Suguru cry harder. He shakes so badly that Satoru feels like he will break and turn into fust in seconds.
"Let's run away my Love..."
