— Ice cream and the male leads sister.

    The hospital visit had been Grayson's nightmare as they not only poked and prodded him but also took his blood. His sister had come out with double the papers she had arrived with.

So he was quite upset when they took his blood.

"Gray, should we get ice cream?" Lindsey had noticed Grayson's gloomy mood and decided to get him a sweet treat.

Elijah was of course in agreement.

"double chocolate." Grayson said from his seat in the back seat.

Lindsey let out a soft smile at his request and promised. "Double chocolate."

Elijah looked at him through the rear view mirror and teased him. "The little man is afraid of needles and needs ice cream for comfort."

Grayson ignored him but Lindsey let out a giggle.

The ride was smooth and during it Grayson couldn't help but think of what the male lead would be like. He hopes he isn't anything like the novel. If so he'd much rather set up his sister with Elijah.

I mean no sane person kidnaps someone they net for the first day.

That was psychopath behavior.

The door beside him opened which had snapped him from his thoughts but it wasn't Lindsey but Elijah.

Elijah helped him out of the seat and held him in his arms as he made his way inside with Lindsey beside him.

It was a nice but small ice cream shop.

It looked good.

The door let out a ring and the lady at the front greeted them. Lindsey and Elijah returned her greetings but Grayson was focused on the ice creams inside the freezer.

"What would you like?" The lady smiled at them as she got ready to do their order.

Lindsey was the first to speak. "A mint ice cream and a double chocolate."

The double chocolate was for Grayson.

"Cup or cone?"

Lindsey glanced at Grayson asking what he wanted which suprised the lady as Grayson seemed a bit too young but it wasn't her business.

"Cone." Grayson didn't want a cup.

"Two cones, please."

The lady smiled and then loomed at Elijah who still held Grayson inside his arms. "Strawberry and a cone as well."

"Alright."

Grayson watched as the lady made their ice creams. Elijah was off talking with Lindsey beside him but grayson wasn't intrested in their conversation at the moment.

The ice creams didn't take long and the first ones were both Lindsey's and Elijah's before Grayson's came out.

Elijah had to place Grayson on the ground to pay but Grayson didn't mind and ate his ice cream happily. Lindsey ate her as she held Elijah's in her hand.

But he finished paying quickly and they sat at a table.

The store was a bit silent besides Elijah and Lindsey speaking. They occasionally spoke to Grayson too but he was way into his ice cream to give them actual good replies.

But then the bell dinged again.

A group of girls came inside who seemed to be on vacation from their conversation at the counter. But one of their descriptions seemed familiar to Grayson.

But he couldn't point his finger to where.

So he brushed it off.

The girls came and went quickly as they didn't eat their ice creams inside the store but most likely went out around the city to see other things.

The group of three that seemed like a family quickly finished their ice creams.

Elijah didn't miss this moment to tease Grayson for the chocolate covering his lips and Lindsey was no help but laughed.

He just huffed and ignored them.

It just made them giggle more.

"bye little man!" Elijah dropped them off and left after giving Grayson one of his usual energetic and tight hugs.

Grayson usually pushed him away but he was tired.

The ice cream had made him sleepy.

Once Elijah was gone Lindsey noticed his tired look and held him in her arms as she stroked his head. "are you tired?"

"Mn."

Grayson didn't even say full words.

"Let's take a nap." Lindsey said as she went to his room and laid him on the bed.

It had been only 3 O'clock so it wasn't even time for bed but the blood draw and ice cream had made him tired.

So he wanted to sleep.

Lindsey tucked him in and then kiss his forehead as she left the room not forgetting to turn off the lights as she left.

Grayson had been half-asleep when he suddenly remembered the girl who looked familiar in the ice cream shop.

The male Leads younger sister, Lilian.

The male lead had a total of four brothers and one sister. A very large family. Most of his brothers were married and had kids that why his mother had been urging him to get married when he first fell in love with Lindsey.

His younger sister Lilian was pampered as the only girl born into the family but she had grown up polite as her grandmother often disciplined her.

Now it made sense why she seemed familiar but he had never met her before during his time inside this novel.

Grayson figured out the identity of the girl but was too tired too think more.

A child's body gets tired quickly.

He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow again.
