— The calm before the storm.
Since the check up had indicated that Grayson seemed to be getting better instead of his health deteriorating his sister eased up on her protectiveness.
And Elijah took him out to more places whenever he babysat him.
Grayson was starting to wonder if Elija was unemployed as he seemed to be free more often than not.
He was even tempted to cross him off as a candidate as his sister future husband.
But he'll see for now.
The sun was bright as the temperature was rapidly rising and Grayson wasn't free from its ray's. Elijah had taken him to some park while his sister was at work.
Elijah said 'it's good to get sun.'
That was his excuse but Grayson knew better.
He had a child's body but not mind.
"Let's go play yeah?" Elijah had Grayson in his arms as Grayson refused to walk in his horrid heat.
Grayson didn't want to play outside but at home under the cool air of the AC but since Elijah had taken him outside he might as well.
"Swings." Grayson pointed toward the swings that even as an adult he often played at whenever he was at the park.
Who said adults couldn't play on the swings?
But it wouldn't look weird cause he was a child now so he should play as a child would. At least that's the excuse he gave himself.
"The swings? Why not the slide, hm?".
Elijah didn't want to push him on the swings so he suggested something else.
But Grayson wanted the swings not anything else.
"Swings."
Elijah had no choice but to comply with the young boy and place him on the swings. Though when he tried to put him on the swings from small kids Grayson would do the splits.
He refused to get inside those so he had to do the other ones.
It wad sort of funny.
"Ready?"
"mn."
Elijah help Grayson adjust on the swing a bit before he began to push him. He started slowly and then began to push him harder making him go higher.
If Lindsey was here she'd pass out.
"Is it fun?" Elijha shouted to the boy that seemed to be going higher each time.
They both played at the swings for a couple of hour's before they moved to another spot—mostly Grayson as Elijah sat on a bench with his sore arms.
The Park was a bit more crowded since more and more people began to show up after they had been there for about a couple of hours.
Grayson ignored it of course.
–Well he was until a bunch of kids gravitated towards him making a large crowd around him so he had no choice but acknowledge them.
"Hey! do you wanna play?"
"Let's play hide and seek!" Two of the kids said almost at the same time. They had a strong resemblance which was identical.
It was obvious they were twins.
"I wanna play too!"
"Me too!" The other kids chimed in giving Grayson no choice but to play with these snot-nosed little kids.
Grayson had become the 'leader'–as the kids called it–because he was smart. He became the seeker after a losing game of rock-paper-siccors.
Elijah–well he had been roped with the other moms because they thought that he was Graysons dad but Elijah explained he was just babysitting.
Grayson had found all the kids but he noticed something.
His heartbeat had begun to get faster since he had entered this park but he brushed it off to the rising heat of the park.
It couldn't be anything else.
