— I made it.

The area around him was a mixture of both blurred and dark but he couldn't focus on almost anything.

Grayson could hear disorited voices around him but he couldn't make out everything.

But he recognized these voice's—at least a couple of them.

His sister and his slav—babysitter Elijah.

Grayson wanted to listen some more but he felt tired as he fell into unconsciousness once again. It was like this for about a couple of days.

But soon Grayson had woken up.

Grayson had woken up after a week of unconsciousness.

The moment Grayson had woken up he stared up at the white ceiling with an uncomfortable feeling on his face.

It was caused by the oxygen mask that was placed on his face.

'I'm alive.'

That was Grayson's first thought as he then started too turn his head so he could look for his sister. He couldn't hear nor see her as he faced the ceiling.

Grayson turned his head and there he saw his sister—

Lindsey.

Lindsey had her head rested on the hospital bed as her hand rested on top of Grayson's limp one but other than that she was asleep.

Though Grayson couldn't find Elijah—Well until the door cracked open and in he came.

Elijah almost seeming as if he had eyes on the back of his head turned to glance at him as he force once he made eye contact with him.

Elijah felt the relief flood his chest as he saw those familiar eyes staring at him.

After Grayson had fell unconscious the siuation hadn't been looking good as he was moved to the intensive care unit.

At some point his heart even stopped beating before it was brought back by the doctors.

God only knows how he felt then.

Elijah rushed toward the semi-conscious as he placed his hands on his disheveled hair. "How are you feeling?"

Grayson just stared at him with a stared that almost said : how do you think?

Elijah let out a slight smile. "Good to know you're still the same."

Grayson didn't bother to stare at him longer and turned his head to his still sleeping sister that still hadn't noticed his awakening.

Elijah had moved behind Lindsey as he carefully picked her up in a way that wouldn't wake her up to place her on a small bed in the room.

He felt Grayson's stare and coughed in embarrasssement. "She hasn't slept since you fell unconscious so let's not wake her up."

Grayson felt suspicious about the sentence but it's not like he could voice it at the moment.

Grayson tried to sit up but his body refused to listen to him so he had no choice but too lay still until someone—Elijah helped him.

Elijah smiled a bit as he finally pressed the call button for both the nurses and doctors to check Grayson.

It should have been done a bit ago but could you blame him?

....

"Are you sure you don't need anything?"

Lindsey had been stuck to Grayson like glue since she had woken up and found him awake surrounded by doctors.

Her protectiveness that had been waiting a bit came back.

Grayson was jumped on when Lindsey had woken up as she hugged him tightly while sobbing apologies.

It took a bit to calm her down but he did eventually.

Elijah had been sent by her to get some things so he wasn't here to help Grayson.

"I'm fine." Grayson said for the fifth time since he had his oxygen mask taken off.

"Are you sure? Should I call the doctor? if you're hurting don't hold back just tell me okay? I—"

"I promise I'm fine." Grayson reassured the frantic Lindsey who almost seemed in tears again.

It seems this time really scared her.

Lindsey stared at him before she hugged him as she said. "I was really worried this time. It was scary getting a call that you passed out at work, you know? A-And your heart stopped this time!"

"I really thought I'd lost my brother this time."

Grayson could say anything as he couldn't just tell her that she had lost her brother and that he wasn't her brother.

He could only comfort her as he promised himself to take care of her for the original Grayson.

The moment was interrupted by Elijah who came in with a bag of food in hand and in the other a tray of hospital food.

"...."

"Did I interrupt something?" Lindsey pulled back from the hug as she let out a small smile and Elijah sat down with a similar smile.

That made Grayson suspicious.

"for you." Elijah placed the tray on Grayson lap as he himself had take-out.

It wasn't fair.
