Petunia woke up early to have enough time to pack her bags, check out of her room, and take the train down to Harry's house. But she ended up cleaning more than she was intending. Some habits are hard to break.
By the time she got downstairs it was already thirty 'till six. If she didn't leave now, she'd be late for the train which departs at six.
Practically sprinting downstairs, Petunia made it to the reception counter gasping for air. She was getting too old for this.
After checking out and handing in her room's key, she quickly made her way to the train station, which was a 10 minute walk. She figured she might as well get her steps in before the 2 hour ride.
She handed off her ticket then stepped inside the train. She walked over to a seat by a window and got herself comfortable right before the train lurched forward and began taking Petunia and the rest of her fellow passengers to their stops.
Petunia sighed and bent forward to retrieve a new book she was reading: Love at first sight. Not a very original title, but it was still a good book so far.
Petunia rested her eyes every now and then to look outside and watch the trees and flowers and bushes rush bye before turning her eyes back to the book.

By the time the train reached Petunia's stop, Petunia's back and neck ached from reading so long. She stuffed her book back in her bag, zipped it up, then slung it on her back before walking out of the train, pulling her suitcase with her.
Petunia went to a local cafe and ordered some tea and an egg croissant as she waited for her cab to show up. She made her way to a tucked away corner at the cafe where she felt the most privacy.
The sight of a black cab outside made her attention perk up. When she realized it was hers she hurriedly ate that last bite of croissant, chugged the rest of her tea (effectively burning her throat), picked up her bags, then left the joint ,mumbling a quick thank you to one of the employees who nodded his head in understanding.
She opened the door and payed the driver who said a "Thank yeh'" in a strong Scottish accent. The drive was about thirteen minutes long and they made it to the Potter Residence in no time.
"Thank you, sir" said Petunia as she stepped out of the car, giving a polite smile.
"It was me pleasure" he replied, returning the smile and giving a small nod.
Petunia closed the door and watched the cab drive away. Suddenly, regret built up in her for coming here. She hated magic. She always had. Every since the day her sister got that acceptance letter to that school.. Yet here she is, going to a house, a family, filled with magic.
Petunia cautiously walked towards the house.
She walked up to the door and knocked on it.
"She's here" cried the young women Petunia heard earlier on the telephone through the other side of the door. Petunia heard an "I'll get it!" from Harry's voice. "But, daddy i want to." Said a little boy's voice that sounded no older than three. "Alright James go ahead."
Petunia heard a small little grunt as the little boy opened the door, standing on tiptoes to reach the doorknob.
The boy managed to open the door fully (with a little help from his dad that whet unnoticed) to reveal a little boy with dark brown hair wearing a shirt with a picture of a broomstick on it in burgundy and mustard yellow colors. A man who was unmistakably the Harry Potter who Petunia had raised for 16 years looking about the same if not a little older. He looked as if he was weary and tired. Probably from that new baby he's taking care of.
Behind Harry and the boy Petunia could she a beautiful but comfy and welcoming house with random toys scattered and littered all over the place. A beautiful women with fiery red hair could be seen scrambling to pick up some of them as she held a squealing baby who was reaching for some of the toys the women was holding.
"Welcome Aunt Petunia. Sorry we didn't really have time to clean. Albus had an... accident." Harry said leading Petunia in the house.
Harry kneeled down so that he was eye level with the boy and asked, "Why don't you show your Aunt Petunia how strong you are and close the door for me?"
The boy jumped up and down in excitement, nodding his head enthusiastically. "Me really stwong auntie Petnuna... Penuta.." the boy said struggling to say Petunia's name. "I can't say Auntie's name!" he cries ,tears welling up in his eyes.
"Oh, come here James. You're saying her name just fine. I promise." Harry said as he pulled the boy in a hug. Oh! that's right! His name is James!
Petunia looked down at her nephew and his son noting how much of a kind and loving father he turned out to be.
"How about you do a nickname?" said the woman who started to walk over. She shifted the baby, Albus on her hip before sticking out her hand to shake, "Ginny Potter, Harry's wife. It's nice to finally meet you." she said with obvious forced politeness. Harry stood up, still holding James and gave Ginny a look before saying, "I think a nickname is a great idea. How about you Aunt Petunia?" tearing his eyes away from Ginny to give his attention to Petunia.
"Oh, sure. Why not?" said Petunia focusing on James. "How about shortening up Petunia to Pet? Auntie Pet? how does that sound?" she said to James, cringing at her own idea.
James nodded is head weakly as he wiped tears from his chubby cheeks.
"Auntie Pet. Sounds lovely." added Ginny with an apologetic look, this time it seemed genuine however. The baby in her arms made a whimpering sound, sad that he was no longer having fun, effectively turning his mother's attention back to him who began bouncing slightly making Albus giggle.
Harry set down James and said ,"Why don't you help Mummy with supper?". James nodded his head and ran to the kitchen. Harry Chuckled as he watched James go. Harry ended up closing the door, since James long since forgotten about his mission to impress Petunia with his strength.
"Here's Albus. Could you take him for a nap while showing Petunia her room?" Ginny asked, handing Albus to Harry.
"Sure. What's for dinner?" he asked back.
"Shepard's pie."
"Mmm.. How'd you know I was craving that?"
"Mummy's always know." The ginger replied before kissing him on the cheek.
Petunia smiled at the young couple, becoming lost in her own similar memories.
"Now i'm gonna make sure James doesn't ruin the pie." Ginny said leaving Harry with Petunia and Albus.
