The sound of rubber sneakers sliding across a wooden floor echoed throughout the auditorium. A short boy with black hair and blue eyes, slid across the floor in his knock-of converse sneakers. He looked about the age of twelve and he certainly acted like it. He ran into Charlie's stall carrying a plate of some sort, wheezing for breath.

"Riley" Charlie shrieked, getting up and walking over to him "What have I told you about sliding across the floor in your sneaker's."

Riley completely ignored his sister and addressed Ian "Sup, Ian" he said trying to act cool.

"Sup!" Ian said casually.

"Friday, Ian I would like you to meet the bane of my existence, the king of clutter, and the master of forgetting to close my bedroom door. My very annoying little brother Riley" Charlie laughed ruffling Riley's hair. He waved, a big cheesy grin on his face. "He's been helping me out with watching the stall while Harvey is sick."

"Wow, that's very kind of you" Ian smiled down at Riley.

Charlie laughed "He's only doing it because I said I'd pay him 80 bucks. Riley always spends all his money, so I knew he would need it."

Ian smacked Riley in the back of the head playfully.

Friday who had been pondering for quite some time suddenly said, "What is it with your family and names" Friday asked, "Isn't Riley a girl's name."

Riley scowled.

Ian turned to Friday and whispered, "May I remined you, that your siblings are called Quantum, Quasar, Orion, and Hally."

"Yeah, Friday your one to talk" a voice called out from behind her. Friday jumped from fright.

"Hello Melanie" Ian laughed giving a fist bump for scaring Friday.

"How long have you been here" Friday gasped still getting over the fright.

"This whole time, I was hiding behind your stall trying to get some sleep. I heard your whole conversation" Melanie smiled sweetly.

"Why didn't you come out and join us" Ian asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"Because that would have involved me getting up. Duh!" Melanie said. "Anyway, I have only three questions. 1: when were the petri dishes stolen. 2 Where'd you get those" she asked pointing to Riley's plate. It was stacked up with dog shaped pancake, covered in butter and dripping with maple syrup.

Friday answered, "Susan and Colin's pancake stall."

"Riley did you get another pancake!" Charlie exclaimed "that's the fourth one you've had today. You were supposed to be looking for your lunch box not getting another pancake. If you don't find it mum's going to get me in so much trouble"

"Wait when did you lose your lunch box" Friday asked.

"More importantly why do you have a lunch box" Melanie asked.
