The Hall was abuzz with excitement as everyone sat back down on the mattress-like floor or sofas after dinner. They would finish the book. They would discover what was happening.

Students were so excited. So were some of the teachers (though they hid it well) and other adults from the Order. On their side, the demigods were still poking fun at Percy for accidentally blurting out that he thought Jason was hot and that if he had to date a guy, he'd probably want to go out with him. The son of Jupiter was feeling kind of smug about it and very very flattered.

His girlfriend wasn't the least bit bothered. As far as she was concerned, her boyfriend didn't give himself enough credit or seem to realise just how fucking handsome and wantable he was. It was nice to see him own it. Rowan sat sideways on his lap, comfortably with her head against his shoulder.

Brenna was still with Leo, the pair of them discussing their prank in detail and all things they would have to build and how. Every now and again, the girl would take Piper's hand and give it a squeeze or a kiss or play with her fingers. The daughter of Aphrodite smiled and talked to Hazel, doing the same every now and again.

Harry Potter watched as Rowan looked up at Jason. She was smiling and giggling about something he was saying. He glared at them. That should be him. He should be the one holding her. He should be the one whispering sweet things into her ears and making her laugh. He should be the one kissing her.

Jason had just leaned down to kiss her hairline when Harry cleared his throat. "So how did you two meet ?"

The couple slid unimpressed looks his way. They shared a glance before shrugging, "We were on the same bus."

"Why ?"

"Reasons," Rowan vaguely mentioned.

Harry didn't seem to like that but she didn't care. He cleared his throat, looking at Jason expectantly. "How did you ask her out ?"

Jason blinked. "That's actually a good question. I don't think I did."

"You didn't ask her out yet you're dating ?" The Gryffindor said.

"It kind of...happened. We had a conversation and that was that. We were dating. We just knew."

He looked down at Rowan who smiled up at him. She kissed his jaw which made him grin.

"Urgh, you two are so disgustingly sweet," Brenna complained. "Keep it down, some of us are trying to work here."

"Yeah, go be cute somewhere else !" Leo joked.

Rowan flipped them both off. The duo laughed. Jason took her hand and brought it to his lips to kiss her knuckles. She smiled shyly. Gods she loved this man.

"It's starting again !" The Slytherin boy from earlier called. It was nice to see him sitting with the Gryffindor girl from before.
