it's so annoying when movies try too hard. it's like watching a frog try to fly. the reason that alot of movies flop is because most of the time the script writers, directors are trying too hard to please the audience and therefore lose track of the story they're trying to tell.
for example, I watched a movie recently. it's 'called the riot club', it might be the worst movie I have ever watched.
it felt so forced, it felt like it was trying so hard to be bodies bodies bodies.
I DESPISE when movies try to be deep. the thing that makes a movie good is when the directors and cast know how to properly make a story come to life instead of trying to please an audience.
However, the hollywood industry is always changing its standards so being an entertainer (actor, singer, stand up artist, director, etc) in this generation is the most unpredictable career in the world. plus actors aren't even getting paid the way they used to. not even the big name actors are getting paid as much anymore. if you're an upcoming actor and you act in a movie that did very well, like grossed 6 figures, dont expect to make half of what one mcdonalds makes in a month.
if I was an entertainer I would kms.
movie reccomedations:
-me and earl and the dying girl
-surf's up
-pride and prejudice
(surf's up is an unironically deep movie, I love it)
ok bye
