"I ain't about life. I'm about the fun. Money for fun. No... That wasn't a reference. This world here is... Difficult. These damn evil gods. I can't get into the heads of these damn members of them. Is it lonely for me being one of the only people not controlled or following an God. Well, yeah... It's lonley as fuck. I hate having to stay in this so-called "base". It's kind of funny calling these God corrupted. After all... I lost what's most important to humans. "Hope-". I ain't got it in me to keep such lux-..."

"Ahem. It seems we are having some problems with the power, we ask everyone to stay calm till farther notice." Someone said on the voice intercoms.

I let out a deep sigh and got off the floor I was sitting on. The apartment was small with only a few rooms... What I was watching on tv was cut short due to power outage.

"Kol?" My mom called. She'd walked into the living room to notice me awake. "don't you have school today?" My mom asked with a yawn. My mom would lean against the door frame and her eyes would glow as light entered them from a window. I could tell she just woke up seeing the tired expression on her face and her messy hair.

"Its a weekend mom." I answered. I glanced out the window and watched as people were leaving their apartments. They looked miserable. I'd look towards the playground and notice some kids that go to the same school as me down there.

"Kol, I have work to do. So be good and lock the door. Don't forget there's food in the fridge if you ever get hungry." My mom spoke leaving. I watched as my mom walked past the window and down a few flight of stairs. The day was normal, peaceful, quiet. I looked up towards the vast light blue sky. The sky went grey and a group of clouds started to bundle together and cry.

Has the sky ever rain so fast before?

I looked down towards the playground where the kids were all packing up and going home. I sing a tune to myself as the rain gives me a familiar and yet unique sense of tranquility.

Moments passed and the sky would become many shades of red. It seems today there is going to be some really heavy rain. Buildings would collapse as meteors crashed into them. The meteors were so hot that every rain drop was vaporized. I quickly got away from the window. I could hear a stampede of people in the hallway along with screams and panic to follow.

I tried to push my door open but there were just too many people in the way for me to get out. I heard a strange noise. It sounded like a creature. My eyes made z's looking around the room. My eyes would finally lock on the creature as it jumps on top of the table in the middle of the room. The creature was small like a rabbit, had no eyes, it stood on two legs, no arms, and had gray skin, what am I? No, I mean, what is it?

"Did you need something?" I spoke to the creature. All the creature did was aim its face towards me. "Did you want to be friends?" Just as I finished speaking the creature immediately jumped at me and bit my hand. I immediately started shaking my hand up and down. "We're not friends!" I opened my window and threw the creature off my hand and far out into the open world of fire and destruction.

Hey how convenient a meteor hasn't landed on this apartment complex. Just as this thought crossed my mind, let's just say, next thing I knew, I was waking up on the burnt dirt outside. With no apartment to live in.

Great. I just had to jinx myself.

I can still hear faint calls of help. It was tough but I finally got myself to stand up. I noticed a person in a purple robe covered in white symbols going around helping people. Well, at least the meteor shower is over, you'd think it start raining people how crazy today is.

*Thunk!*

A body fell out of the sky and bounced off the dirt ground. Aww, nah. They landed booty up. I checked to see if they were still alive. They are so, dead. I quickly walked away from the body.

Im just going to assume my mom is fine.

"Hey there little boy." A man said behind me. His breathing was heavy and his breath was minty. His hand landed on my shoulder. He spooked me a little. I immediately spun around.

"Hey! Hands to yourself." I spoke loud and clearly. The man took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. His long beard would blow in the wind. The man then opened his eyes.

"Vueshroodah!" The man shouted with power in his voice. I immediately got blown away far from the city. Next thing next, I was in the clouds. My brain took awhile to register anything. Before I knew it I was already falling back to earth on an island far from home.

This explains the dead person...

Just as I landed on a bed of flowers in the center of the island, I lost my consciousness.

Terrific...
