"Richard...I thought that you had business meetings until tomorrow?" Eleanor asked stunned to see him standing at the door.

"I did." He said his footsteps heavy walking further into the room. "I came back because something told me to look in my briefcase for the documents I needed for the meeting tomorrow morning and they weren't there."

"I put them in the side compartment so they wouldn't wrinkle, did you check all of the pockets?"

"I checked them and they weren't there." He said stiffly.

"Are you sure? I could've sworn that I did it this morning, where is your briefcase I'll double-check it."

"They aren't there Eleanor."

"Just let me-"

"Eleanor!" He snapped. "I said they weren't there, so I had to come all the way back home to get them. It's your job to make sure I have everything before I leave for work in the morning."

"I'm sorry honey, maybe I did make a mistake. I just thought that maybe you didn't look good enough-"

"So you're blaming me?" He asked stepping closer to her. "Are you blaming me for your mistake?"

"No honey, of course not."

"Good," He jerked his head to the side pleased. "Because I don't make mistakes."

I was still sitting there lost in my thoughts but I couldn't help but react to his presence and it was a drastic change that saturated the room. It was like the air had become thick and overbearing. I tried to get a sight of him from the side of my eye though Silas was standing in front of me.

I hadn't noticed him being there before, but he was close enough to where I could only see a portion of the man that had come into the house.

His eyes stare turned to Silas, "Why aren't you at the office?"

"I'll be there tomorrow I...had studying to do." He answered.

"Studying? Hell are you doing that for?"

"Finals," Eleanor answered. "He starts testing tomorrow."

"Testing huh, that's right. So school ends after that right?"

"After prom," Silas corrected."Then it'll be over."

"Hm," He said standing there. "Not like you'll be going to that, besides I'll be glad when the shit is over so you'll have more time at the office. You know helping Florien out because I know he's tired of doing your work."

"Honey, do you want me to run you a shower? I know you must be tired driving back those two hours-"

"No, I won't be long." He opposed. " Vanessa's in the car I just came back for the documents."

"Vanessa's here?" She questioned.

"Yes, she's here, I was on my way to drop her off at her hotel but she agreed to come along so I wouldn't have to make all those trips." He said stepping further into the room and as he did he stopped.

Though Silas was standing in front of me it was like I could feel his eyes gleaming through him onto me. I could sense that Silas was extremely uncomfortable and he tried to tighten the distance that was between me and him but tried to do it gradually.

I wondered why, what he was doing, and why he was standing in front of me. I wanted my thoughts to be answered but I had no time to ask any questions, I just felt the need to be quiet.
