Y/N's Pov,

When I finally found the classroom, I sank into my seat, letting out a slow breath. My hands were still shaking a little, my heart beating too fast. Did I really just do that?

Slapping that guy wasn't something I had planned. I didn't think—I just acted. And now, sitting in the classroom, it felt almost unreal. They weren't looking some normal bullies and I am afraid I haven't gotten myself into more trouble on my first day itself.

The room wasn't completely silent. I could still hear whispers, hushed voices talking about me. Some people looked impressed, others amused, but most just seemed curious. Who is this girl who dared to stand up to them?

I pressed my lips together, trying to ignore the attention. I wasn't trying to be a hero. I wasn't looking for trouble. I just—

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. Maybe I was reckless. Maybe I should have walked away, like I always did. But the way they held me and kept in cornered, I didn't had any other option.

I clenched my fists, pushing away the thought. It was over now. They would back off. Hopefully.

But the thoughts weren't ready to leave my mind yet and then it stuck on that boy, not the one who saved me but the one who was standing in crowd watching me,

I didn't mean to notice him.

Not when my heart was still racing from what had just happened, not when I could still feel the weight of all those stares on me. But somehow, in the sea of faces—some mocking, some just watching—I noticed him.

He wasn't like the others.

Most of them either looked away, pretending they hadn't seen anything, or watched like it was some midday entertainment.  But he—he wasn't just looking. He was paying attention, studying me, like he was trying to figure something out, like he saw something no one else did.

And for some reason, that made me look at him for a minute longer.

I wasn't used to that kind of attention. Not the kind that looked for weakness, or the kind that expected something back. His gaze was different. It wasn't pity. It wasn't amusement. It was just... curiosity.

When our eyes met, something in his expression changed. Something I couldn't read, but it made my breath catch for a second. It wasn't surprise or admiration. It was almost like... understanding.

I didn't even realize I was still staring until I had already walked past him.

End of Pov.

"So, Tae," Jimin said, nudging me as we walked, "what was with that crowd earlier? Something spicy happen?"

"So, Tae," Jimin said, nudging me as we walked, "what was with that crowd earlier? Something spicy happen?"

I shrugged, trying to downplay it. "Dong-wook and his band of idiots were messing with this new girl. She stood up to them, and Wonwoo stepped in to help."
