Taehyung's Pov:
Jungkook finally got up, giving me a pointed look. "Remember this, Tae. You owe me big time."
I chuckled, nodding. "I won't forget. Have fun on your date."
Jimin grinned and gave Jungkook a light push, causing him to stumble slightly. "Go on, lover boy."
Jungkook shot Jimin a glare before adjusting his bag over his shoulder. "Yeah, yeah. See you guys later," he said, smiling as he headed for the door.
As the door closed behind him, I turned to my Dawn with a smile. "Now, where were we?"
We continued working, bouncing ideas off each other for our project. I loved how engaged Y/N was, how she threw herself into the task with such enthusiasm. Her energy was contagious, and it made me want to work harder, not just for the project, but to impress her.
Our heads were close together as we pored over the notes, our shoulders occasionally brushing against each other, and each touch sent a jolt of excitement through me. I glanced at her, noticing the way her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she explained her thoughts.
Y/N leaned closer again, her arm brushing against mine. "So, about those case studies. I think we should start with this one," she suggested, pointing to a section in my notes.
I nodded, trying to ignore the flutter in my chest. "Sure, why not? It's really relatable to our topic."
Time skips - 1 hour.
"Almost done," she replied, turning to look at me. Our faces were just inches apart, and I could see every detail of her expression. Her eyes met mine, and for a moment, everything else faded away.
I swallowed hard, feeling a lump in my throat. "You know, you're really smart," I said softly.
She smiled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Thanks, Taehyung. I'm glad we got the chance to work together."
Our fingers brushed as we both reached for a pen at the same time. Neither of us pulled away, the contact lingering. I could feel the warmth of her skin.
Jimin observed us with a knowing smile. He cleared his throat, and we pulled away. He then slowly leaned over and whispered, "It's the first time I've seen you working in a group before the deadline. Usually, you finish our parts yourself too."
I smiled, feeling slightly embarrassed. "This time, I have a reason to stay and finish it before the deadline."
He chuckled, "Well, it's almost time to wrap up." He pointed at the clock. It was already 5 p.m., and Y/N and I both had to leave for our part-time jobs. I couldn't help but feel a bit reluctant to stop working. Spending this time with Y/N had been amazing, and I didn't want it to end.
"By the way, Y/N," I said, packing up my things, "I think we should continue tomorrow. I have to go to work, and I guess you do too."
She looked at the time before looking back at me, and her eyes widened in realization. "Ahhhh!!! Eotteohke!!! I'm late again. Thanks for reminding me."
