The soccer game is my personal comedy show. With Isla is here, and not having played this sport ever in her life, it was fun to see her running around. She looked like a headless chicken, and when I mentioned that to her, I got my own slap on top of my head, so it was not worth it. Maybe it was. I liked seeing her get offended, even though she was able to laugh it off with me. The entire game, I cannot help but laugh at her, and she cannot help but pretend to be angry at me.

I had been her target the entire game, even though she wasn't focusing on scoring points. After I had laughed at all her failed attempts, she had come ok to me, and as the ball was passed around, she took it upon herself to block me. Everything I did, she was in the way. It was like having a personal bodyguard with you, just that this bodyguard wasn't your fan. But even though she caused me to not make any progress in the game, it was fun.

After I let her have her fun of blocking every move, I put my hands up in defense. After promising to not laugh at her anymore, she left me to play the game. I watched her dribble the ball close to the goal post, and as soon as she made a point to kick the ball, I came back behind her fast. Rerouting beside her, I kicked one of my legs in between hers, and with a satisfied smile, I heard her shout as she fell to the floor.

I was jumping over her as she looked at me with furry eyes. "You idiot," she said to me, but I only gave her an innocent shrug. She shook her head as I did before extending her leg, and within a second, I fell right on top of her. I saw it coming way too fast, so I used my elbows to stop myself from crushing into her. When she sees me directly on top of her, she grins.

"Ha! Got you!" she shouts to me, huffing her chest out and grinning up at me with a satisfied grin. I look down at her, studying her face, before taking notice that we were flush together aside from the rest of my body. Our legs were tangled together, and my hips were aligned with hers. She laughs at my reaction, her laughter still coafced with excitement as she says, "You're such a loser." Her laughter caused her to thrust her hip forward, and this time it was flushing against mine.

Everything I've pushed away came back to me hard and fast. Suddenly, I wasn't just being friendly with her anymore; I was feeling entirely different things. Being on top of her, our bodies fitting together like a piece of puzzle was too much. My breath hitched in my throat as her laughter died down.

She flitted her eyes up to mine, but I saw exactly when it went down to my lips. My lips parted on their own accord, and when I glanced down at hers, they were parted as well. She was breathing softly; the sound was a little breathless, like my own. The moment still stands, just the both of us here together. I find curiosity in her hazel eyes, silently asking me if I was going to go through with what I wanted to do.

As I feel myself lean towards her mouth, which isn't hard considering how close we are already, I feel a ball hit my shoulder, and I lose my balance. Isla is shouting from under me when I fall right on top of her, just having moved my head to the side as to not headbutt her. She groans in pain, and with a hard breath, I roll off her.

My head is by hers once I get off her, but I cannot bear to look at her now. Not after we almost kissed again. Not after I thought about the thing that was keeping us steady. Anything else would be too complicated, and I couldn't deal with that right now.

Instead, I turn to my other side and look over to find my friends giving me a large grin. Rolling my eyes at them, I sit up and say, "Which one of you idiots did that?"

Unsurprisingly, Cameron had slowly put a hand up. When I glared at him in response, he only gave me an innocent shrug. I glared at him harder, and it made him laugh. I don't know if I should be mad at him, though, because of him, I did stop what would have been a mistake. Shouldn't I be happy? Then why am I feeling at such a loss right now?
