Isla
Julian gives my cheek a kiss and then tugs on my hand. I give him a curious look, and he chuckles. "Sit with me on my bed for a while." I hesitate, not knowing whether I should take him up on his offer or not. He senses my hesitation and gives a small, embarrassed smile, "If you want. Unless you have to go, then you can go, but." He stops abruptly and then gives me a bigger smile. "If you can stay, I'd like you to stay here a bit."
There is no way I can say no to his offer. He was asking me if I wanted to stay and telling me that he wanted me here. It makes me feel warm knowing that he enjoys my company as much as I enjoy his. It makes me grin as I say, "Yeah, I'd like to stay."
"That's great," he says, leading the both of us toward his bed. A hand in his hair, he says, "We don't have to sit close; we can just sit next to each other unless—"
He stops because when he takes a seat on his bed. I take a seat right next to him. I place a leg over his, getting comfortable as I place my hand on his arm. His cheeks flush with color as he says, "Or we can sit like this."
"Yeah," I say, giving him an easy smile. He laughs, his eyes flashing in embarrassment as he glances at me. I only laugh, placing a hand on his thigh and saying, "So how did it go at work?"
"Good," he says shortly, adding nothing else to it.
I raise my eyes and say, "Good? Just good?"
"Uh," he says, and then huffs out a breath. "Sorry, I cannot think with you so close to me."
"Why?"
"Why?" he whispers, as if he cannot believe my question could even be asked. I give him a nod, and glancing away from me, he says, "Just because... I don't know you're so close to me!"
"And?" I say with a chuckle.
He gives me a blank look before saying, "I cannot concentrate on anything other than wanting to kiss you again."
I give him a laugh, glancing at where we had been standing before. "We've done that."
"I know," he says, shaking his head. "Sorry, I sound obsessed."
"You're good," I say, laughing. I hold up my phone and wiggle my eyebrows at him. "Remember what I have saved in my contacts."
He groans, "Ah yes."
I hum, a teasing grin on my face as I say, "Think it checks out, don't you?"
He groans once more, and this time, he launches for me. I shriek, using my advantage to at least get away from him. He grabs my arm, and I'm shouting more as I try to get away from him. I move forward on his bed, leaving him behind me. But that lasts only for a minute because he turns around quickly, following after me. I'm shaking my head as he grins at me, climbing on top of me.
He raises an eyebrow at me, where I was stuck under him. I clench my phone in my hand, knowing that the device was the thing he was going after. "Hey, Isla."
"Don't," I say, laughing. "Yeah, that's not going to work."
There's an innocent furrow in his eyebrow as he looks down at me. "What's not going to work?"
"You," I say, and then feel myself grow quiet to because from here; he looked so different. So much older, and with that look on his face, so much hotter. I feel my cheeks heat up at the thought, and Julian only smirks wider.
"What was that again?" he asks, his hand creeping into my arm. I shriek, trying to keep hold of my phone, and kick at my feet, but all of that stops. Julian is smooth when he swoops down and places his lips on mine. I tilt my head up, giving him easy access to deepen the kiss. I feel myself giving in to him, feeling free in the way he was kissing me. He pulls away, and I'm breathing hard as I look at him.
