Julian

It's hard to watch Isla dance without having a smile on my face. She was belting out to the song, following the chorus to the letter as if she already had it memorized. Knowing how excited she was that I chose this movie, I knew that she actually had it memorized. It was just her favorite movie.

She had enjoyed the movie. There wasn't a scene she didn't make a commentary on or a song she didn't sing out the entire lyrics of. This was her idea of a great date, and I couldn't have been more proud of myself in that moment. I loved that she liked the date, and it put me at ease.

I smile larger as I glance back and find Isla's camera next to her purse. Picking it up, I start a video as I hold the camera to her. The camera was panned in on her, the bright white dress she was wearing, and her wavy hair all over. She was a sight to see.

As I lean back on an arm, I focus my attention on her. I swear everything is a slow daze as I look at her. She was moving her hips slowly to the rhythm of the song, and I couldn't help but follow her with my eyes. She was a sight to see, and I was lucky enough to see her at a time of happiness. It made my heart tug in the best way possible.

My eyes capture her turning to look over her shoulder, her hazel eyes meeting mine, and her body still moving in that soft rhythm of hers. She stops then, her hair flying across her face as she looks at me. I know exactly where she feels nervous about the idea of me watching her. I blink, and there it is.

There is the pretty blush on her pretty face.

I sigh softly as I look up at her. Her hands drop to her side, and with a sheepish smile, she says, "Uh, the movie ended."

She's so cute. She was nervous all of a sudden, but I knew it was just because I was watching her. Two minutes ago, she wasn't closed off; she was enjoying the last bit of her ultimate favorite movie.

"Did it?" I ask because I'm not entirely sure. My attention was only diverted to her; I only cared for her. I look past her shoulder, and sure enough, the projector screen is dark. Looking back at her, I cock my head to the side and shrug. "Guess it did."

She places her hands behind her back, dropping her gaze to my face now. She only stares at me, and with the confidence I haven't mustered in a long time, I get off my arm. Pushing myself forward, I hold out my hand in front of her. Before she can take my hand, I place it on the back of her knee. Her eyes jump to mine as she blinks in a daze. Her lips part when I pull her by her knee, and with a soft shout, she drops onto me.

Her legs are on mine, and she holds out her hands to steady herself. Placing them behind my neck, I move my hand up to her waist now. I hold out the camera to her face again and say, "Nice dancing, Isla."

Her face only flushes brighter at my compliment. "Say hi to the camera," I whisper to her, and it's then that she finally notices it. Her mouth drops, her red lips parting as she gasps. I only smile harder as I say, "I had to record you."

"Why?" she all but shrieks. I only shrug, "Had to get you on camera looking so pretty."

"Julian," she whispers my name nervously, and I drop the camera at my side. Instead, I place my other hand on her face, tugging her closer to me. Her smile is slow as she looks from my eyes to my lips. I'm staring at her lips as well, and with a duck of my head, I connect our lips. It's like my body missed her as badly as my lips did. I cannot get myself to keep the kiss slow, as I feel my lips moving smoothly against hers. She makes a noise against my lips, and I smile, pulling her even closer.

I move my thumb behind her ears, playing softly with it as I move my lips against hers in a faster rhythm. Her legs are on my lap now, and she pulls closer to me, wrapping her legs around my waist. Getting better access, I encircle her waist against me. As the kiss progresses, I cannot help but smile at how nice it is between us.
