Today's my 18th birthday! Today I find out if the moon goddess and Atargatis has blessed me with a mate. As an omega, life hasn't been easiest, but I'm determined to make the most of it regardless.
I dress in my best clothes, the worn fabric a reminder of the struggles I've faced. The scent of Eucalyptus and lavender fills the air in my room. The two scents calm me greatly.
I'm trying to focus on the possibilities, the possibility of life now different, a possibility of a mate who will love me, cherish and protect
I know it much wont be different between yesterday and today, but I'm taking a deep breath and stepping forward, hoping that this birthday marks the beginning of a brighter future. It's a small spark of hope, but it's enough to keep me going, enough to face this beautiful Friday morning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Like most packs, Lake-crest wolves members all had a part to play however unfortunately the lowest status was omega. That meant their jobs were limited to servants—cleaners, caretakers, and objects of weakness even pleasure for the dominant wolves.
The Lake-crest pack
In the distant past, the Lake-crest Pack's ancestors lived in harmony with water beings who called themselves "the sirens of the Great Lake", they inhabited the Great Lakecrest. The wolves and sirens shared a deep connection, and the sirens gifted the wolves with water spirits, allowing them to thrive in the harsh, cold climate of North Alasia. Over time, the wolves developed a unique bond with the water, learning to harness its power and respect its fury.
As the centuries passed, the sirens vanished, leaving behind only their legacy in the wolves. The Lakecrest Pack grew into one of the largest and most powerful packs in North Alasia, their territory spanning the vast forests, rivers, and lakes surrounding the Great Lakecrest. Their connection to the water spirits remained strong, allowing them to calm the treacherous waters and protect their territory from threats both within and outside their borders.
The pack's very first alpha, a wise and powerful wolf named Akua, is said to have possessed the strongest water spirit of all, passed down through generations of Lakecrest leaders. The pack's members revere the water and honor the sirens' memory, believing that their connection to the lake and its spirits is what sets them apart from other wolves.
The Great Lakecrest, with its crystal-clear waters and mysterious depths, remains the heart of the pack's territory, a symbol of their heritage and strength. The pack's motto, "Spiritus Aquae," reflects their deep bond with the water and their commitment to protecting their sacred land.
The pack thrived and flourished for centuries with now being no different, they've always believed in hierarchy for how else will their world make sense if there isn't a sense of "order".Sura was a Caretaker, she cared for the house along side other omegas as well as the green house her main duty which boasted a 30 ft 5000 sq ft impressive size. Sura rushed downstairs in the communal dining hall for breakfast, she wanted to be done with her work early today so she could do something with her friends. The air was heavy with the scent of breakfast, and excitement fluttered in her chest at the prospect of possibly finding her mate in the scarcely filled breakfast hall. Sura inhaled deeply while rapidly looking around.
Disappointment filled her chest and her shoulder sagged slightly "perhaps he just doesn't like breakfast or he isn't awake yet" She thought smiling brightly grabbed her plate, her movements a little lighter, a little more purposeful.
