LAKE CREST, ALASIA

Alex entered the alpha's office, and his eyes widened in shock. Sura, his Sura, stood before him, her eyes cast downward, her face a mask of tension. But as their gazes met, her composure crumbled. She sprinted into his arms, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed uncontrollably.

Alex enveloped her in a gentle embrace, mindful of her pregnant belly, his mind reeling with emotions. "Shh, Sura, I've got you. You're safe," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm to her frazzled nerves.

As he held her, he stroked her hair, whispering words of comfort. "You're home, Sura. You're with me, with us. We've got you." His words unleashed a torrent of emotions, and Sura cried for the first time in almost a year, finally feeling safe enough to unload her pent-up emotions.

Alex stared out the office window stroking Sura's white strands, his mind a constant reel of questions, she's home.

And she's pregnant, good grief that fucking bastard.

As she wept, Alex met Vesserion's gaze, and his eyes faltered. The alpha's eyes had turned midnight black, a sign of his turmoil. Alex quickly looked away, focusing on Sura, who clung to him like a lifeline.

As much as he wanted to glare, vesserion was still his alpha, unfortunately.

Finally, she composed herself, smiled weakly, and nodded. As she turned to leave, her gaze locked onto Vesserion, her voice cold and detached. "Am I free to leave?"

Vesserion's eyes blinked back to grey, and he replied softly, "Yes, but we must meet with Ares tomorrow. We need answers."

Sura's gaze lingered on the beauty spot above Vesserion's upper lip before nodding firmly. As she turned to leave with Alex, she suddenly stopped and asked, her voice barely above a whisper, "Will I be able to go to the elders after?"

Alex's eyes furrowed in question, but Vesserion's response was equally soft. "We'll talk about it, okay."

Sura nodded, then walked out with Alex, clutching his arm tightly. Alex couldn't help but wonder what secrets she hid, and what lay ahead for their little group.

Goood morningggg

So I messed up yesterday and post the wrong chapter. I write and edit on google docs so sometimes I mess up what count is what.

Anyways this chapter (14) was more of a filler and was to be released with 15..

It's quite short.

Enjoy🫶.
