MOUNT HAVEN, ALASIA

SURA'S P.O.V

"Luna, daughter of the sea, mother to a king, mate to a scion of Akua, bringer of light, welcome back," said the orange-eyed elder. I nodded firmly, acknowledging him, and he nodded back.

"I can't thank you enough," I said softly.

"Come now, let's get you back home," Azure said, and in a sickening motion, we were back in a bedroom that was unrecognizable to me. He lifted me from my feet, carrying both me and our son to the bed.

"Rest, I've set out some orders, so proper arrangements should be here soon," he smiled.

I furrowed my brow, confused, but nodded regardless. I changed my son's diaper and cuddled him close, kissing his soft cheeks as he nursed.

"Hi," I heard Alex's gentle voice. I lifted my head, smiling brightly, as Anya and Kat walked in behind him.

"Oh, sweet girl, motherhood agrees with you," Anya said, kissing my forehead. Kat asked to hold the newborn, and I warned her to be careful.

"What's his name?" she whispered, entranced. "Ryland," I replied. Alex, who had been quiet, snickered, "Who named him?" I feigned offense before giggling, "I did!"

He hugged me to his shoulder as the girls watched Ryland sleep, fascinated. I smiled, turning to him, "How are you?" He emphasized "you," and I smiled softly.

Of course, Alex wanted to ensure I was alright, he's such a sweetheart.

"I'm well, I promise" i assured him

" Even with the alpha here?" He asked cautiously.

"Even so" I nodded confidently, somewhere along the entire ordeal with the elders I had forgiven my mate.

Perhaps it was when I allowed him to bed me, or perhaps when he pulled our son out safely, or perhaps when he sweetly gave me strength to continue pushing.

Perhaps it was even before we went up the mountain. I wasn't sure, but I knew now I forgave him.

"What did the elders say," Alex asked breaking me from my thought. I thought about how to tell him that Luna and I were the same person, but had yet to fully merge back into one. I sighed, "It was hectic, but I finally have some answers and know who I am."

"You're a siren from the water, aren't you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. My eyes widened, and I asked, "How did you know?" He chuckled, "Sura babe really".

"What I'm genuinely curious," I said seriously  "There's a literal tail for a birthmark on your chest, you live with wolves, and yet you have no wolf. You've never smelt like anything other than the crisp air of the ocean," he said in a duh tone.

"And not to mention your looks are quite enchanting," Kat added, tearing her eyes away from the newborn "Not more enchanting than this perfect angel however" she giggled.

"Alright that's enough, it's my turn, give me my nephew," Alex said rising from the bedside chair, "How can it be your turn when I've been waiting" Anya growled.

I laughed loudly at their antics and rose from the bed to walk to the living room, in search of my mate.

I walked down the hallway and finally found a door halfway open, "I'm sorry, you were right and I was wrong. I couldn't forgive myself so I turned to anger. I understan—"

"Sura?" Vesserion's voice called startling me, yikes he caught me snooping.

I poked my head around the corner to see a curly-haired ares with a large smile, one I returned "Hello Beta Ares" I greeted.

"Luna" he nodded respectfully, "he looked at Vesserion's stiff posture and laughed "I hear congratulations are in your order, where's the little one?". He asked softly.

"I believe my friends are still fighting to hold him "Perhaps later then?" He asked to which I nodded.

He clasped his hands and nodded to Vesserion's muttering alpha before leaving.

"I'm sorry for eavesdropping," I said turning red, "nonsense come here" I walked over to him resting on his lap "Why are you out of bed?" He questioned.

"I needed to find you," I said blinking up at him, he leaned in slowly kissing my lips gently.

"Come let's go, I have one more surprise for you then you'll rest yes?" he gave me a pointed look

I followed Vesserion to the dining area, where pack members were busy setting up baby items and baby-proofing the space. They greeted me with warm smiles, congratulations, and respect.

Vesserion nodded towards a man assembling a crib, who looked uncannily like John. I called out to him, and he turned around, beaming with a bright smile. "Hey, baby girl!" he said, as I rushed over to hug him tightly.

I was overjoyed to see this kind trucker, who had ensured my safe passage on both journeys home, now setting up furniture for my son. We spent hours catching up before he had to leave, and Vesserion insisted I get some rest. Alex, Anya, and Kat were given rooms in the apartment to be close to me, and I felt grateful for this newfound sense of family.

I finally knew who I was and had given birth to a beautiful pup, a future king destined to unite all supernatural beings. My role was to mend the broken bond between wolves and water beings. I had accepted my mate, Vesserion, who had shown me that we're not just one-sided beings, but capable of both good and bad, selfish and selfless.
