Y/N POV

"Wow I'm finally debuting.... but in a weird way...." I spoke to myself, still baffled by the idea of the company.

*The day before*

"Y/N-ssi, after proper evaluation, we would like to announce that you're debuting soon!" The CEO told me when I was called to his office.

"But this would be new for all of us. You know your senior aespa right?" He asked as I nodded.

"You know about their concept and storyline right?" He asked again and I nodded again like an obedient child.

"You will be joining them!" He continued, making me shocked.

A male member in aespa? There's no way that this is happening right? He must be crazy, I thought to myself before he continued explaining.

"I know this sounds weird to you but we're trying something new. You won't be with them physically on stage and all" The CEO continued his nonsense as my mind just went more and more confused.

"You know aespa's song 'Welcome to MY World' where we debuted naevis?" He made sure to explain it better this time as I finally had an idea of what he was talking about.

"You will be ae-S/N. Who will be featured in aespa's next comeback"

"So my job is basically just sitting in the recording room voicing ae-S/N?" I asked him, still not 100% sure of what he said.

"Nonono, you will do more than that my boy hahaha. Just like a normal idol, you're gonna dance and sing..... Just not verbally. You understand?" The CEO spoke out trying his best to make me understand.

"Ahh I see~ I'm just an AI~" I finally understood this nonsense.

"Yes you're getting it now! You would still be performing but just on screen as an AI"

"But..... as you said, I won't be able to attend stage performances right?" I hesitantly asked him. If this was true, my dream of becoming an idol would still be unfulfilled. What would be the point of debuting if my skills are hidden from the world.

"Uhmm we're still figuring that out. Who knows in the future, there might be changes" The CEO told me as I felt disappointed. "But don't worry Y/N, we would still be using your real face in the AI making of ae-S/N. That way people can tell that it's your talents behind the character"

"So are you in?" The CEO asked me.

*Present*

I was scheduled to meet aespa sunbaenim today and to be honest, I'm very nervous. They're famous and I'm just a nobody that is going to be working with them out of nowhere.

The CEO wants me to get acquainted with them for better chemistry for this comeback or in other words, my debut.

I headed to their practice room where I was told to go by their manager and upon reaching there, I froze when I saw THE Karina herself waiting in front of the practice room door.

"Ah there you are Y/N! Come-come" She pulled my hand and dragged me into the practice room where the other members are waiting.

"Sunbaenim wai—" I couldn't even greet her properly as we entered the room.

"Wow he's tall" "Are you sure he's younger than us?" "I like him already" The other member's voices could be heard when we were walking towards them.

"Tadaaaaa please welcome our new member Kang Y/N~ or also known as ae-S/N~" Karina sunbaenim exclaimed as the other members applauded and cheered for me.

"Uh uhm, h-hello sunbaenim" My tongue got twisted due to being too nervous in front of my seniors.

"Haish don't be too formal~ just call us noona from now on" Karina sunbaeni- I mean noona said to me.

"Hello noona, my name is Kang Y/N and I'm excited to work with you" I bowed after the brief introduction.

"Hahaha you definitely don't look that excited" Ningning noona said after hearing my nervous tone.

"Aww he's so cute" Giselle noona spoke out and laughed.

"Hii Y/N-ie we're also excited to work with youu" Winter noona said in a very comforting way.

"As of today you're officially our new maknae" Karina noona said, smiling while patting my back.
