Part 8

Y/N POV

The next day came as we did our recording session for the new song. Normally the girls would go to the studio alone while the others do their own thing before it was their turn but Karina noona wanted me to accompany her.

"Y/N... do you mind accompanying me in the studio later.." She asked me hesitantly.

"Yeah sure. Why is there something bothering you?" I questioned her sudden urge for this.

"Oh it's nothing.. I just feel safe when you're around..." She answered as she blushed. Even though manager noona will be there too, she still wanted me to be there which I find weird.

"Hmm ok then.." I then joined her during her recording session. The producer was confused at first when he saw me but then let it be.

Thus the session started as Karina noona sang her parts flawlessly. I was amazed by almost everything as this was my first time experiencing this. After Karina noona was done we sat down with the producer to listen to the final product, reviewing what can be improved and changed. Luckily there was none as it was already perfectly done by Karina noona.

"I guess your part is already done here Karina-ssi. Thank you for your hard work"  The producer thanked her.

"Yayy, thank you for your hard work too. Come on Jagi let's head out" Karina noona excitedly dragged me out as it was Giselle noona's turn.

"Eh? What is Y/N doing here?" Giselle noona got confused seeing me here with Karina noona.

"He's just accompanying me hehe and we have a date to attend. Byee and good luck Aerii~" Karina noona rushed as she speed walked away from Giselle noona.

"Fighting Aeri noona!" I encouraged her quickly while being dragged by the rushing Karina.

"Wha- Hey! Thats not fair!" Giselle noona's voice could be heard from behind.

"So what do you want to do while waiting for your turn Jagi?" Karina noona then stopped to ask me when we had already arrived at the building lobby. I checked the time, revealing that I had 3 more hours left before my turn to go back to the recording booth.

"I don't know. Anything you want noona" I had no idea what is happening. Karina noona just suddenly wants to bring me somewhere after her session.

"Hmmm let's go to a cafe then!" She said as she waited for my response giving me her brightest smile.

"Sure that sounds great" I gave her the green light making her more excited. It was rare seeing this side of her, she's the leader of one of the greatest 4th gen girl group of course she had to look mature. I'm just happy that she can be herself when she's with me so I just went with the flow.

We walked to a nearby cafe which luckily is quiet and empty enough for us to hangout. We chilled at the cafe as one by one the aespa members joined us after finishing their recording session until it was my turn.

"Ningning noona is already done. I guess that's my cue to go" I stood up and placed my belongings in my pocket. Preparing to leave the girls.

"I'm joining you! Wouldn't want to miss watching you rap" Winter noona also stood up making the other two follow her action.

"Me too!" "Same" They said in unison as we all laughed and headed to the recording studio.

Upon reaching there, Ningning noona was already waiting in the studio as she waved cutely at me.

"I guess we all had the same idea hehe" Ningning said watching her other members following behind me.

"Wow we have quite a crowd here for Y/N's first ever recording" The producer spoke out as he scanned the room. I got shy and felt my face heating up.

Even just putting on the headphones, my noonas were cheering for me like crazy making me laugh.

Then my part came as I rapped as I was told and to be honest I was quite satisfied with it.

"Wow first time in the booth and already doing excellent on the first try" The producer exclaimed as I just felt that it was exaggerated at this point.

"Let's give it another listen before we all get out of work" The producer continued making me surprised. He was really going with my first try.

I couldn't hear the girls from inside the booth but they were giving me thumbs up and happy faces while grooving to my part.

"Ok you're done Y/N. You can get out of there now" The producer said signalling me to get out.

"Wait is that really it? There's nothing I could improvise on?" I asked him to be sure.

"Hahaha trust me Y/N, that was perfectly how I wanted it to sound" He replied as I joined them back on the studio.

"Good thing all of you are here for me to tell you" He scoffed. "I need time to sort and edit the rest of it and then I'll send the final product to you guys ok?" He said as we all nodded.

It may look like we're rushing on the recording but in fact we are. With a lot more songs to record we had to do our jobs quickly.

The producer then left us after bidding farewell and thanking us in the process as we did the same.

"Tomorrow will be your first dance practice for the new song. So don't stay up too late" Manager noona then said.

"What about Y/N? Is he gonna perform on stage with us? Practice with us?" Ningning noona then asked. I suddenly remembered what the CEO told me before I was part of aespa. I am merely an AI character here.

"Depends. If the fans are giving positive responses then he might have to and yes he will be practicing with you guys" Manager noona answered her as I felt a sense of relief.

The plan was to announce and include me in their comeback photoshoot. Depending how the social media reacts they'll review the situation.

"I know the fans will love Y/N" Karina noona scoffed.

"I really want to perform on stage with him" Winter noona then added.

"Me too noona..." I said nervously as I faced the floor thinking that my career is going to be decided by our fans.

Then a pair of hands suddenly wrapped me as the girls gave me a group hug.

"Don't worry Y/N. Even if the result is not what we want it to be, we'll try our best to fight for you" Giselle noona encouraged me.

"We will always back you Jagi" Karina noona added.

"You're part of aespa now" Winter noona the next one to speak.

"I would get off stage if that's what it cost to get you to perform with us" Ningning noona's words got me emotional.

These noonas, they may be childish sometimes but they are willing to sacrifice for me. It really felt like a family. I would do anything to repay their faith in me.

"Thank you noona. That really meant a lot to me. I'm so glad that I got the chance to be with you guys" I genuinely told them. We then let go of the hug. Manager noona on the side was also moved by the bond between us.

"I'll try my best to make you debut on stage too Y/N" She raised her fighting fists as we all laughed at how cute she looked.
