BLACK WIDOW
CHAPTER THREE
Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Morning•
Charlotte Flair: Are you free to spar today? 10am at the PC? ☺️
Waking up at 5am to a message like that was not how I intended to start the day, and it made my already terrible day a whole lot better.
Waking up to your period sucked. Waking up extra tired, cramping like hell, bloated, nauseous was pure hell. Staining my bed sheets was shit. Endometriosis can kiss my ass. To top it all off, around 6am, I got a call from Amy's doctor.
She wasn't doing well.
I visited her straight away, and she seemed to be feeling better, but I was so fucking terrified of losing her at any moment. I have a feeling she lies about how much pain and discomfort she is really in, just to make everyone else around her feel at ease.
I was going to cancel with Charlotte, until Amy insisted I go, and said that 'she'd die today if I didn't.'
I hated her jokes.
I got to the PC early, getting my cardio in and now waiting for Charlotte to arrive. It was about 9:30, so I had some time to relax myself after the horrible, no good, very bad morning.
It was quiet here today, so I found a spot sitting against the ring and started reading my book again, quickly feeling hot. Quickly realising I probably shouldn't read this here, but I was invested in this book. I needed to keep reading-
"Hey."
I flinched and dropped the book as I looked up at the person staring down at me with a small smile.
It was Rhea.
"Sorry." She whispered. "I didn't mean to scare you."
I took a much needed breath in an attempt to calm my racing heart down. "I nearly had a heart attack, oh my god." I rubbed my chest.
"Sorry." She apologised again and lent down to pick my book up for me. She examined the cover; Haunting Adeline. She was intrigued and flipped the page I was on open.
Oh no-
Rheas face turned into shock. "He did what to her with a gun?" Her smile grew. "What are you reading?" She chuckled.
I snatched it from her hands. "Nothing." I said and closed it, struggling to meet her eyes.
Rhea licked the corner of her mouth. "He at least has the safety on, right?" She continued to tease me about it. "I'd hope so, if he let that go with it inside-"
"Rhea." I cringed and covered my eyes. Then I peered up at her. "It's actually a very intellectual book about a woman who has a stalker. The plot is very-"
"Pure sex." She finished for me with a smirk that told me she really enjoyed poking fun at me right now.
"It is not." I say. "You just opened the wrong page."
