BLACK WIDOW

CHAPTER TWENTY
A Little Favour

Rhea: Coffee? Black, sugar, milk or you're lactose intolerant?

That's not the message I was expecting when she told me to let her know when I was awake today.

Riley: Talk bowel issues to me 🥵

Rhea: Better than whatever filth comes out of your mouth sometimes... 😌

Riley: Don't act like you don't (and won't) love it 😉

Riley: But hot chocolate?

Rhea: Done!

I smiled and tucked my phone away, and I was so excited to see her. I literally saw her yesterday, but I wanted to hug her because of all the kind things she gave me to help me out. And i wanted to ask her something...

That would sound a lot more convincing from my mouth than over text.

15 or so minutes passed of free bleeding in the toilet, and what seemed like worsening pain through my body. Until I rushed up to answer the knocking at my front door. Titus was whining his ass off, somehow knowing one of his favourite humans ever were on the other side.

Opening the door to a smiling Rhea was exactly what I needed after my night of hell.

She looked incredible, and it wasn't just because of the warm drinks she had in her hands. It was the silver rings, the oversized anime shirt, the shorts, the vans, the toned and tatted legs, the silver bracelets, the "mami" one Amy made her, the necklaces, the beautiful bare face, the black hair tied up and her eyes.

She was more than beautiful.

"You look like crap." Rhea said.

I pouted and slumped a little bit. "And here I was thinking about how beautiful you are."

Rhea tilted her head and gave me a look. "As tired as you look, you still look good. Did you sleep at all last night?" She walked in and set the drinks down, squatting to pet over Titus and give him some love.

Where was my attention...

"Barely." I answer honestly. "Maybe 2 hours, if I'm lucky."

Rhea leaned on the counter and looked me up and down. "Couldn't get to sleep?"

"Hurts too much." I answer and grab the hot chocolate. "It's not sugar free this time right?"

Rhea shakes her head, encouraging me to drink up.

"Thank you." I cautiously move in towards her, wanting to hug her and-

She opened her arms and pulled me in the rest of the way. I rested my head on her shoulder, and she buried her head in my neck.

I whisper. "I missed you."

Rhea made this nice and kind noise, like she enjoyed to hear that. Her hug turned firmer. "I missed you." She replied in my neck, then she kissed it before breaking apart.
