Amelia
It had been a week since Blake had left and I missed her like crazy even though I was super busy with my first week of work. She was apparently having an amazing time with Jess, Dan and their kids. Apparently Jess lived in a mansion and had a really nice place but Blake said it was extremely hot over in Perth. It was over 30 degrees most days so she preferred staying indoors where there was aircon. That’s extremely hot for us Kiwi’s since it doesn't usually get any hotter than 30 degrees here. For us 27 degrees was boiling! My poor baby!
My work friends bugged me all day to go out today since I had been moping around all week. We went to a really nice bar and grill where we enjoyed an epic lunch and a few drinks. I didn’t drink very often because well my parents never really were heavy drinkers and I wasn’t actually a huge fan of it. But I did enjoy a glass of wine today with my friends. It was nice.
We decided to stay for dinner as well and by the time I got home it was almost 10pm and I hadn’t heard from Blake all day so I decided to FaceTime her.
Only it wasn’t my favourite blonde that picked up the phone, it was some other blonde with sandy blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. She was really pretty and looked like she hung outside a lot because she had a nice tan. Is this the blonde bimbo she’s replaced me with already? It’s only been a week!
”Hello there. I’m Riley” she says in an awfully thick Aussie accent. Oh god she is the blonde bimbo with the awful Aussie accent I was worried about!
”Hi Riley. Where’s Blake?” I ask. And why the fuck are you in her room and on her bed?! I wanted to ask.
“Blakes just in the bathroom. Oh here she is now” Riley says smiling at my girl as if she’s in love with her. She was definitely looking at her with heart eyes. Bitch.
“You never told me your girlfriend was a supermodel” Riley says to Blake chuckling. “She’s hot!”
”Back off! She’s mine” Blake jokes before she faces the phone towards her. Taking a seat next to Riley. They were sitting a bit too close for my liking.
“Hey beautiful. I miss you” she says, smiling at me.
”I miss you too, baby. I missed you so much that my friends forced me to go out with them today because I was apparently moping around all week” I say, making her chuckle. “What are you and Riley up to?” I ask.
“Okay help me out here Amelia” Riley says. “I’m trying to convince this one to come to my friend's party so she can meet new people and have fun but she’s all like ‘I can’t go. I need to talk to my girlfriend’”
I really did not like the idea of Blake going with Riley to a party. I didn’t trust her at all. Not with the way she was looking at her.
“Tell her to stop being lame. She’s 20 and young. She needs to go out and have fun. Not stay cooped up inside on a Saturday night. Besides, I'm sure you two can talk to each other all day tomorrow.”
Gosh I didn’t like this one bit but she’s right. Blake should be able to go out and have some fun. I trust her.
“Baby if you want to go it’s fine with me” I say. “Not that you need my permission. I trust you baby. Go have some fun. But be responsible okay” I say.
”Don’t worry, I'll take good care of her. You have nothing to worry about” Riley says with that annoying smirk I want to smack right off her face.
“Are you sure it’s okay with you baby? I don’t mind staying behind and talking to you” Blake says.
”I trust you baby. Go have some fun. We can talk tomorrow baby” I say, giving her a smile that didn’t quite reach my eyes.
