I can't believe Jamie never said a word. Turns out the little spy can keep her mouth shut after all. Throughout lunch Liv and Aves tried to get more info out of Jamie but Jamie was unbreakable. I guess I'm really glad Jay and mum had drilled into her that it was really important to keep her promises.

After lunch Amelia went down to the beach with Liv to sun tan. I wanted to go with them but Aves pulled me aside.

"You bribed Jamie didn't you?" She asks narrowing her eyes at me

"Will you give it a rest, Aves. As if I would bribe a 6 year old" I say lying my ass off. Damn I really did that. But it was all for a good reason. I didn't need Liv and Aves sticking their noses into whatever it is Amelia and I had going on. We hadn't even talked about what we are. All I know is that we really liked each other and we really liked kissing each other. I really liked spending time with her but it was way too soon to have everything figured out right now.

"So you expect me to believe you and Amelia did nothing during your date?" She asks raising her eyebrow at me

"Why would anyone take their little sister with them on a date? It wasn't a date" I deny

"I don't know Jamie is cute. Cute kids are like chick magnets" Aves says

"You have completely lost your mind Avery. You need to chill. Maybe get a boyfriend or something" I say

"And why would I do that?"

"So you can stay out of my love life" I say walking off

"So you do admit you love Amelia!" She yells out

I did not have the patience to deal with her right now. I just wanted to see Amelia in a bikini right now.

On my way to my room Mum stopped me.

"Hey honey, have you got a second?" Mum asks

"Sure mum what's up?" I ask

"Honey, you know I love you very much right? You are my first born child" she says

"Umm okay? I love you too mum" I say confused

"You know you can tell me anything. Anything at all without judgement. It will stay between us. I won't tell Jay" she says

"I know mum" I say

"So do you have something you want to tell me? Anything at all?" She asks

"Um, is there something I'm missing here?" I ask even more confused

"I swear all my children are just as clueless as my wife" she says sighing

"Um mum? Is there something you want to ask me?" I ask

"Okay fine. You know I am your mother. Don't think I don't know things. I've seen the way you and Amelia have been looking at each other. What is going on between you two?" She asks. Well fuck me. I guess we weren't being as subtle as we thought we were being.

"I don't know mum" I say honestly. "We like each other. It's just that it's very new. We only told each other that we liked each other last week. She doesn't want anyone to know right now. I know she feels weird about our whole family situation so she wants to keep us quiet for now while we figure out what we are" I say

"I get that honey. It might be a little weird for her considering Jay and I are together. But Amelia never really grew up with you, so it's not that weird. Just please don't let Jay know about it. I think you will have to ease her into the idea of you both dating or she might have a heart attack. She still sees Amelia as her baby even though she's almost 23" mum says chuckling "and FYI if you don't want people finding out you really shouldn't be looking at each other the way you both do. It's super obvious. You're lucky Jay is pretty clueless. But I'm sure Liv and Avery have picked up on it." She says
