I just moved to Darry and I hated it! I'm from La so coming to this small borning town sucked. I have been here for three days and my mom wants me to get a job to help out! She took matters into her own hands and got me a job at a farm...A FARM! No offence but I'm not a farm girly. But here I am on a perfectly good Saturday riding my bike to a farm. I got there and slowly walked up. A young boy who had the same skin color as me walked towards me.
"Hey I'm Mike...You must be River?" He spoke
"Yep that's me...So what do I do here?" I asked
"Well since today is your first day you can just follow me around and help out!" He smiled, he had a pretty smile.
"Cool" I stated
"So where ya from?" He asked
"La, have you always lived here?" I said trying to not be awkward
"La that's cool, and yea I have" he said as we walked into the barn. "But I'm homeschooled so I don't really have any friends" he spoke up
"Hm, well" I sighed "mabey we could be friends" I smiled
"Yeah I'd like that" he said with a bright smile. The rest of the day I helped out with the animals and plants. "You are really good with the animals and gardening! Are you sure you have never done this before?" He chuckled
"Thanks, I was never really a farm girl...I actually wanted to kill my mom for signing me up for this job" I joked "but I got to meet you so I geuss it ain't to bad" I smiled and he smiled back
"Uhm so I was wondering...I know we just meet and all but would you like to go out on a date with me? You know we could get to know each other better and" he trailed off
"I'd like that" I smiled and he smiled back
"Cool" he sighed
