Being Johnnys younger sister, I had to protected him. I am smaller than him but that don't mean I ain't strong! I was thinkin to myself while eating fruit loops suddenly my parents came home. I flinched as the door slammed. I wanted to hide but I knew they would find me. Johnny was already at the Curtis early in the morning. Luckily they were to drunk to function to they stumbled to the couch and passed out. I sighed heavily and suddenly lost my appetite. I have been losing my appetite a lot lately. I put the bowl in the sink and cleaned it. I walked quietly to my bedroom closet and grabbed blankets and put them over my mom and dad. I quickly put my combat boots on and walked out of the house. I ran to the Curtis house. When I walked in I was greeted by everyone quickly.

"Hey! Uhm did ma and dad come home?" Johnny asked nervously

"Yeah but I'm fine they were too drunk to even know I existed" I spoke playing with my hair. Ponyboy hugged me. "It's whatever" I muttered

"I love you cat" Ponyboy whispered.

"I love ya to horse boy" I hugged him back.

"I'm real sorry I was not there cat" Johnny spoke up

"It's fine. You can't do anything. I'm the one who protects us and you are the one who take care of us" I said letting go of the hug.

"You don't deserve that catty" Johnny said

"It's fine! Like I said, today they did not even know I was there" I said

"You don't deserve it ether" Ponyboy said getting close to my face. Our lips almost touching.

"Uhh are you guys dating?" Johnny asked making both of us snap out of it. I cursed Johnny for breaking it.

"No" Ponyboy quickly answered. "I'd never date your sister" he said then walking to the bathroom"

"Oh" was all I could make out. I sighed and wished I stayed at my house and have gotten beaten by them then be here and feel like this. I geuss it's why it's called a crush. It crushes you.
