My head throbbed. My ears were pounding. All I could hear was the pounding in my ears. My head felt light and dizzy. Consciousness was being brought back to me. Back to the light. Yet all I saw was darkness. My heart felt full. His love flowed through my veins. It was like blood. Flowing through my body. Giving me life. As I opened my eyes, I was near the waterfall again.
"Aiden." I whispered.
My throat felt dry, but it was nearing normal again.
"Aiden." I said again a little louder this time.
I didn't get a response. I slowly got up onto my feet. I looked around and saw that I was alone.
"Donovin?" I asked thinking he'll appear again.
Silence. The only noise I heard was the flowing of the water.
"Neir?" I asked thinking that maybe my father would answer.
Still no response. But I didn't feel alone.
"Sila." I called. "Asra."
Still no response.
"Aiden." I said one last time before I fell to the ground. My body couldn't take it. It could barely move. But I crawled over to the waterfall.
"Meria." I said barely a whisper. "The waterfall is said to heal."
I recalled her saying and I thought maybe someone would answer me. But no one ever did. As I reached the waterfall I place my hand into the water. Feeling the coldness of the water on my fingertips. Freezing them slightly. I felt the current push and pull my hand. But it remained still.
"Aiden." I almost cried.
I knew he wouldn't be able to hear that. It came out in such a small voice. I could barely hear it myself. With all the strength that I had left in my body I used my hand that was in the water to splash my face. My head started to clear. My ears stopped pounding. I pulled the rest of my body into the water. Letting the cold refresh my body. I held my breath as I plunged my head under the water. But the strange thing was, I could still breathe. But I knew all along that this was my soul that was here. My body was back at the prison. I let the water cleanse my soul. As I propelled myself upwards towards the surface. I felt more alive than what I did before. I climbed out of the water. Wishing that Aiden was here. I looked around again, but I still couldn't see him.
"Void of darkness, please take me to him." I asked the void.
I started walking for my body was pulling me somewhere. The void of darkness opened up to let me out. I walked through the portal of sorts. And there I was. Faceless faces danced around me. I noticed that my hair changed from being fully down to only half down. Braids were in my hair almost like a crown. Harps were playing. The air was full of melody. I saw smiles on the faceless faces. And I looked to see mine. And then found his. In a room full of people my eyes land on his. He smiles at me as he walks towards me. I surprised him by running full force at him. As I collide with him. My arms wrapped around him. Both of us tumbling to the ground. Not ready for the impact. Aiden started laughing as he wrapped his arms tightly around my back.
"I missed you too." He said as he kissed my forehead.
"Not as much as I missed you." I say while I bury my face into his chest.
"I can see that." Aiden said laughing. "I mean we're both on the ground."
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that love." I said as I laughed.
I got up helping him to his feet. As soon as he was up, I wrapped my hands around his waist. Holding him tightly and never wanting to let him go. He wrapped his arms around my back pulling me closer to him and burying his face in the crook of my neck.
